MISS ETHEL SNETHEN and ALFRED TRUMAN, both former Lamoni young people, surprised their relatives and friends by suddenly deciding to take a step which they had expected long ago. They were married in Sibley, Iowa, where ETHEL was visiting at the home of her sister, MRS. TYLE, on Thursday last at 2 p.m. The ceremony was witnessed only by the sister and clerk who performed it.

MRS. TRUMAN is the daughter of MRS. BELLE SNETHEN, of Lamoni. She was formerly employed in the bindery of the Herald Office, afterward working as a hello girl in northeastern Iowa.

MR. TRUMAN is the son of MRS. GEO V. BROWN. He has been raised in Lamoni until recently worked with his step-father on the home farm. He is now employed at farming near Rutland, Iowa, where the happy couple will go to housekeeping and where the good wishes of a host of friends will attend them.
