On Sunday afternoon, March 29, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hanner, northwest of Decatur City, promptly at 1:30 o'clock, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Blanche to Mr. Earl J. Sutherlin, Bro. M. H. Brinker, of Des Moines, pastor of the Decatur Christian church officiating. Only the immediate relatives of the family witnessed the ceremony. Both bride and groom are well and favorable known in this community, having always lived in Decatur county. For the past few years Miss Hanner has been one of Decatur county's successful school teachers, and Mr. Sutherlin one of our farmer boys.
