On New Year's Eve at the home of the bride's father, MR. S.C. JENNINGS in Grand River, in the presence of about 75 friends, occurred the marriage of MR. WEB M. SIPHERD and MISS EDITH JENNINGS.

A large number of invitations had been issued and all the guests within reach responded. They were received at the door of the spacious residence by the bride's sister, MISS JENNIE, and another sister, MISS IOWA, received at the head of the stairs.

The ceremony was performed in the northeast corner of the parlor, under festoons of mistletoe and cut flowers. The wedding march was rendered by Miss Helene R. DeKalb, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Aikman, of Humeston, Pastor of the Grand River Presbyterian Church, using the beautiful Presbyterian marriage service.

The bride was attended by Miss Rose DeKalb, of DeKalb, as bridesmaid and Mr. S.C. Jennings, Jr., brother of the bride, acted as best man.

The bride was attired in a white silk, trimmed in silk lace and ribbon, and carried a bunch of white carnations. The bridesmaid wore an ecru soft wool, with flowers to match.

An elegant collation was served immediately after the ceremony and congratulations.

The groom is a prosperous young farmer owning a fine farm a half mile west of Grand River and there the happy young couple will make their home. The bride is the daughter of MR. S.C. JENNINGS, one of the most prominent citizens of this county, an educated and accomplished young lady.

The guests from a distance were Dr. and Mrs. DeKalb, DeKalb; Mr. and Mrs. V.R. McGinnis, L. Van Werden, Leon; Mr. D.O. Jennings, Mt. Ayr; Miss Helene R. DeKalb, Weldon.

On the next evening a reception was tendered the happy young couple at the home of the groom's mother, MRS. W.H. SIPHERD; about sixty of their young friends being present.
