Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Decatur County, Iowa, 1971 McVEY - KUHN Nuptials LAURA KUHN was united in marriage to MONTE McVEY at Smith Memorial Chapel in Indianola. The Rev. GILBERT TAVNER officiated for the double ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. WALTER G. KUHN, Hurst, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. EVERETT McVEY, Knoxville. Mrs. McVEY is the former NEVA WILLIAMS of Leon. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. CAROL WASSENAAR was matron of honor for her sister; THOMAS McVEY served as best man for his brother. ED POUSH of Leon seated the guests. A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. The new Mr. and Mrs. McVEY are graduates of Simpson College, Indianola. Mrs. McVEY will teach with grade in Muscatine Elementary School this fall. Mr. McVEY is presently administrator at a nursing home in Muscatine.
