MISS ETTA BRIGHT was married in Chicago Tuesday of last week to

ALEXANDER SPENCE.

MISS BRIGHT is the eldest daughter of HENRY BRIGHT, of this place, and

has resided in Leon many years. For a number of years she has been a

stenographer and has held many responsible positions, until recently

having been in the employ of J.V. Farwell & Co., of Chicago. MISS

BRIGHT is talented in literary lines and has written a number of short

sketches for the JOURNAL, which possess true literary merit.

MR. SPENCE also has been in the employ of Farwell & Co. for many years.

At the present, he holds the responsible position of head of the credit

department, one of the most important features of the large business

transacted by his house.

MR. and MRS. SPENCE have already gone to housekeeping in Chicago.
