'AT HYMEN'S ALTAR.'

On Tuesday evening, November 27th, J.C. CLARK of this city, and MISS

MAGGIE SYLVESTER, of Davis City, were married at the bride's home by

REV. GEORGE HUGHES. The wedding was an elegant, but very quiet

affair--only the relatives and immediate friends being present.

MR. CLARK is the junior member of the firm of Clark Bros., millers, and

is a young man of recognized business ability. During a residence of

about three years in Leon he has gathered about him a large circle of

friends and enjoys the confidence of all, both in business and out.

Of the bride we know comparatively little. She is a daughter of MR. and

MRS. ARTHUR SYLVESTER, prosperous farmers residing near Davis City. She

is a highly accomplished young lady and is in every way fitted to fill

the position of a pleasant homemaker.

The happy couple will make their home in this city and cards are out

announcing that they will be at home after December lst at Seventh and Q

Streets.

The JOURNAL joins their legion of friends in extending the usual

congratulations to MR. and MRS. CLARK and hopes that they may live long

to enjoy the fruits and blessings of marital happiness.
