A very beautiful and impressive marriage service was that of ORA A. BARR

to EMERY G. BARCUS, held at the home of the Bride's parents, MR. and

MRS. R.H. BARR, at high noon - June 7, l9ll; REV. JONES of Elston

officiating. MISS ANNIS MCMURTREY was Bride's Maid, HARRY BARR, Jr.

taking part of Best Man. MISS ODELL BARR played Mendelshons March while

they marched under the archway made of mock orange and roses.

The Bride's gown was of white organdy and she carried bridal roses. The

groom wore conventional black. Decorations were mock orange and roses.

About fifty of the near relatives were present. Among them were SENATOR

and MRS. W.B. TALLMAN of Osceola, Iowa; PROFESSOR and MRS. F.J. HEIDT

and daughter, SYLVIA of Des Moines, Iowa; DR. and MRS. GEORGE TALLMAN of

Van Wert; MR. and MRS. GEORGE BARR and daughters; MRS. ELIZA PRICE; MR.

and MRS. SAMUEL MCMURTREY; and MR. and MRS. JAMES MOTE.

The happy pair received many beautiful and useful presents. They go

immediately to house keeping in their new home which the groom has

prepared on a farm about two and a half miles northwest of Van Wert.

Emery Barcus was raised by my ggrandmother, Eliza(Hoffa)Price; his

mother died when he was a young boy.
