CRITCHFIELD-WILLIAMSON

WM. N. CRITCHFIELD of Mt. Ayr and MISS FRANCES A WILLIAMSON of Lamoni

were married Monday afternoon by ESQ. J.S. PARRISH at the residence of

C.W. HOFFMAN. MR. CRITCHFIELD is a prominent young business man of Mt.

Ayr MISS WILLIAMSON has been until now one of the College City's

milliners.

The young couple are well and favorably known in their respective homes.

CONREY-BOWMAN

Last Thursday evening, at the Methodist Parsonage, occurred the marriage

of FRED L. CONREY and MISS MAUDE BOWMAN, REV. GEO. M. HUGHES

officiating.

The bridal pair are both popular and well-known Leon young people. The

groom is the efficient money-order clerk and news agent at the

post-office. He is a bright young man, the eldest son of Postmaster and

MRS. J.R. CONREY, and has all the qualifications which go to make a

successful business man. The bride is the daughter of MR. and MRS. J.W.

BOWMAN and is a charming young lady. She is highly accomplished, and is

esteemed by a large circle of friends.

The newly-wedded couple are at home to their friends at the residence

formerly occupied by HENRY OTTEN, which MR. CONREY has just recently

refurnished for himself and bride.

The JOURNAL extends congratulations with a multitude of friends.

TEALE-SUTHERLIN

Married, in Davis City, Iowa, at the residence of CHARLES F. SUTHERLIN,

June l0th, l896, MR. ARTHUR L. TEALE and MISS BIRDIE SUTHERLIN, REV.

GEORGE E. MITCHELL performing the ceremony. Of the invited guests about

40 were present to witness the ceremony that made them husband and wife.

After the wedding came the rich repast prepared for this occasion by

skillful hands and the guests ate to their hearts' content; all were

well served. The Davis City Cornet Band discoursed some fine music in

the front yard and then were invited into the feast prepared for them,

for which they no doubt were very grateful.

The bride and groom were the recipients of a large number of valuable

and useful presents.
