On Wednesday, March 23, l892, occurred the marriage of MR. WM. WOOD
to
MISS ELLA BLEDSOE, all of Decatur County. The ceremony took place
at
the residence of the bride's brother, JOHN W. BLEDSOE.
Precisely at high noon the contracting parties made their appearance
and
in the presence of a few relatives and most intimate friends, were
pronounced husband and wife in a beautiful, but impressive and solemn
manner by REV. J.H. HARD, of the M.E. Church. After congratulations
had
been extended, the party was invited out to a sumptuous repast by MR.
and MRS. BLEDSOE.
They were also invited by the parents of the groom to again satisfy
the
"inner man" at their residence on the following day. Some of
the guests
were unable to respond on account of the distance.
The bride is well and favorably known to an extensive number of our
readers, having been a successful teacher in the public schools of
this
county for the past four years.
The groom is an affable young gentleman of unusual fine traits of
character and industrious habits. MR. and MRS. WOOD are at home
to
their friends near Weldon. May success attend them.
