At precisely half past 6 o'clock on the evening of the above date the
many friends of MR. CHARLES JOY and MISS RUTH BULLARD began to gather
at
the residence of the bride's parents, JOHN BULLARD'S to witness the
ceremony which would unite the above named two and make them one "Joy".
At seven the REV. GARRETSON, of the Christian Church of Humeston,
entered the parlor, closely followed by the bride and groom, faced
the
audience and were bound by holy ties for life.
After congratulations, in which there were many happy hits, the guests
were served to a sumptuous repast, in which were all the delicacies
of
the season sufficient to satisfy the tastes of any epicure.
