Last evening at 8 o'clock, at the home of MRS. M.A. WASSON, in Morgan
Township, her youngest daughter, VIOLA, was wedded to CHARLES EDWARDS.
The ceremony was performed by REV. MCDONALD, of the M.E. Church of
Lineville. At the appointed hour the contracting parties entered
the
parlor to the strains of the "lohengrin Wedding March", played by MISS
BLANCH DICKISON, of Lineville, and in the presence of their relatives
and most intimate friends, were pronounced man and wife. The
groom was
attired in the conventional black, while the bride looked charming
in a
Watteau costume of cream colored lawnsdown. She carried a bouquet
of
marshmallow roses with white satin streamers.
This young couple are widely known, the groom being a son of REV. F.
EDWARDS, and is at present, and has been for several years, engaged
in
the clothing house of M. Mayer, and is one of Leon's most popular young
men.
The bride is a daughter of MRS. M.A. WASSON, of this county, and is
a
charming and accomplished young lady, who is in every way worthy of
the
love and protection of the husband of her choice. About twenty
of the
young friends of MR. and MRS. EDWARDS from this place, attended the
ceremony last night, returning this morning. The young couple
will make
their home at this place.
We join their numerous friends in extending congratulations, and wish
for them a happy and prosperous future.
