I found this article in my husband's great grandmother's scrapbook. (Sarah Ann Allbaugh Chastain) I love the flowery language.

A Wedding

On Thursday morning, Feb 10, 1881, I harnessed my horses and hitched to my sleigh, and myself and wife pleasantly glided over the ice and bumps and shortly we reached the place that we started for, the widow Millsap's, where we met a happy family which greeted us with pleasant smiles and their cheerful company. We only stopped a few minutes and then started again with the Millsap family with us. We then headed our horses for the window Wartenbee's, where we found another very pleasant family and many of their neighbors gathered there for a day of pleasure, also come of their relatives from Leon, namely: L. W. Forgrave and wife and Mrs. Sales, and at 12 o'clock I joined in matrimony Mr. Sylvester Millsap and Miss Molly Wartenbee, and at 1 o'clock we seated ourselves around a richly laden table where we was waited on by Mrs. Forgrave. It would be well for all young men to do as Mr. Millsap did, always get the cage before you get the bird. We think if matrimony is contagious Mo!
ther Millsap will have a hard time before it will get through the family, for there are 10 yet to catch the disease. On Friday morning, Feb 11th, a furious storm was raging severely from the northeast, but not so much so but what the guests could find their way to the place of the infare, where they were accommodated with everything that was necessary to make them happy. A very fine and rich dinner was prepared and 58 persons were accommodated with the necessaries of life. After this we were accommodated with good singing by the Millsap family, which was very interesting. Truly this was a day of happiness for the writer. After a hard winter's labor in revival meetings this encourages him to go on in the great work, as it brings the mind to that great day spoken in God's blessed word when Christ and his church shall be united in divine matrimony. I wonder who of us will be the guest at that wedding. It is pleasant for families and neighbors to meet in such gatherings here in !
the flesh, but it will be much more grand to meet at that great wedding feast that awaits us when Jesus comes.
