MR. HENRY H. LAFOLLETT and MISS BERTHA BELLE CURRIER were quietly united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. T.G. CURRIER, at 9 o'clock this morning. There was no attempt at display or ostentation. Only immediate relatives witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. P.J. Farmer, Pastor of the First Baptist Church. The bride and groom were unattended, the former being attired in a plain traveling costume. Immediately following the service they departed on the Weasel for Danville, Iowa, where they will visit for a few days. Upon their return they will commence housekeeping at 627 Front Street. Their new home is furnished and waiting for them.
These two young people are too well and favorably known to need an introduction by us. The bride is an intelligent and lovable young woman and will fittingly adorn the home she is about to enter. For the past two years she has been engaged as stenographer in the big Ehart Department Store. The groom is engaged with his father in the grocery business and is the managing head of the firm. He is a young man of excellent business qualifications.
The Democrat gladly joins other friends in wishing them a safe and smooth journey over the sea of life.
--Ft. Madison Democrat.
The groom will be remembered as an old Leon boy who a few years ago, moved with his parents to Ft. Madison, and his many friends in this county wish the happy couple a long and pleasant journey through life.
