MR. RAYMOND R. WOODS, of Powersville, Mo., and MISS WILMA SWITZER, of Lucerne, Mo., stole a march on their many friends at home, jumping in a Ford last Saturday morning, they motored to Leon, Iowa, where they secured a marriage license, after which they went to the home of J.F. Garber in Franklin Township, to have the marriage ceremony performed, but Mr. Garber had gone to the woods for a load of wood. However, they were not to be daunted by such small obstacles as this, and securing a couple of witnesses, SAM and WILMA GARBER, they proceeded to the woods, where they found Mr. Garber chopping wood. They soon made known the object of their unexpected visit, and there in the woods, MR. WOODS took to himself a wife; and MISS SWITZER became MRS. WOODS. They went to the home of Chas. Keim, uncle of the groom, where they visited over Sunday.

MR. WOODS recently bought a restaurant in Lucerne, Mo., at which place they will make their home. He is a member of the Brethren Church at Powersville, Mo.
