At high noon on Wednesday, December 27th, at the home of MRS. FANNIE EASTER, occurred the marriage of her daughters, MISS FLOSSIE EASTER to MR. JOHN WILSON, of Menlo, Iowa, and MISS LELA EASTER to MR. WILLIAM MYERS, of Dexter, Iowa.
Rev. Edgar Price, cousin of the brides and Pastor of the Christian Church at Mt. Ayr, read the ring ceremony in the presence of forty-five relatives and intimate friends.
Miss Lorene Quinn, of Des Moines sang, "O Promise Me" preceding the ceremony and "My Hearts Desire" immediately following. She was accompanied by Mrs. Donald Price, of Des Moines who also played the wedding march from Mendelssohn.
The brides wore dresses of crepe satin and velvet broche, their tulle veils being held in place by pearl head bands. They carried shower bouquets of roses and valley lillies.
Master Eugene Easter, of Perry, Iowa, and Miss Ardyce Easter, of Leon, nephew and niece of the brides, acted as ring bearers.
Following the ceremony, a four course luncheon was served by Misses Lucille Quinn, of Perry, Mary Sherman, of Osceola, Ella Seaburn, and Marjorie Walker, of Corydon.
MRS. WILSON is a graduate of the Leon High School and Drake University and for the past two years has been teaching in the Ames High School. MR. WILSON has been attending Iowa State College at Ames. MR. and MRS. WILSON will be at home after June first at Menlo, Iowa.
MRS. MYERS is also a graduate of the Leon High School and Drake University, while attending the latter she became affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi honorary society in the college of Education. She has been teaching the past two years at Dexter, Iowa.
Non-resident guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lee Easter, of Perry, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Donald Price, of Des Moines, Miss Gertrude Downs, of Ottumwa, Ia., Miss Evelyn Atwood, of Fairfield, Ia., Mr. Wesley Clampitt, of Ames, Ia., Mr. Earl Siberts, of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Heimberger, of Rollo, Mo., Mrs. B.F. Myers, Miss Ada Myers, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lenocker, Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Moore and Mr. Everett Sugrove, of Dexter, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Heiman Shoff, of Earlham, Ia., Rev. and Mrs. Edgar Price and son, Dean, of Mt. Ayr, Iowa.
