MR. LOUIS A. TURNER, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and MISS HELEN WHISLER, of Leon, were married at the First Christian Church in St. Joe, Mo., Thursday, May 3rd, the ceremony being performed by the Pastor, Rev. C.M. Chilton. The newly wedded couple arrived in Leon Friday afternoon for a visit with the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. S. WHISLER.
The bride is well and favorably known in Leon, where she has resided until the past few years, when she has been employed at Ft. Collins and Denver, Colorado, being an expert linotype operator and newspaper writer. For a number of years she was employed in the newspaper offices in Leon, and she enjoys the friendship of a very large circle of friends. The groom is a son of MR. and MRS. J.W. TURNER, of Hot Springs, Ark. He is a registered pharmacist, and after returning from service during the World War, was employed as a pharmacist in Denver, Colorado, until about a year ago when he returned to Hot Springs and has been connected with the Central Drug Store in that city.
MR. and MRS. TURNER expect to be in Hot Springs about June lst, and will be at home in an apartment at ll6 Liberty Street, for a few months, as they expect to make their permanent home in the West where MR. TURNER will engage in the drug business.
Together with a host of friends in this the home of the bride, the Reporter extends hearty congratulations and well wishes for their happiness and prosperity.
