On Wednesday, May 23, at 3 p.m., a happy wedding party drove up to the U.B. Parsonage and made known their felicitous purposes. It was just after the chicken dinner and the paper hangers in the manse were running full blast, but all else ceased for the nuptial ceremony. There was a calm and a solemn performance of the marriage ritual, and congratulations were poured in. After the papers were made out and signed by the witnesses, bride and groom, the couple went on their way rejoicing.

The couple were MR. JAMES M. MART, of Garden Grove, and MISS BESSIE MENDENHALL. They will be at home to their friends on the farm in Decatur County after May 25. The ceremony by Rev. Curtis was short, but like a short sermon it was condensed and meant as much as a long one, and was not tiresome.
