One of those rare events in this city, a church wedding, was solemnized yesterday morning at ll o'clock at the Presbyterian Church in this city, when MISS FREDA FERREN, daughter of MR. and MRS. W.A. FERREN, became the bride of MR. FRANK J. BOIES, the ceremony being performed by Rev. T.F. Campbell, of Fairfield, a former Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in this city, using the beautiful double ring ceremony, and a large number of friends of the contracting parties were in attendance. The church was most beautifully decorated for the occasion, William and Paul Campbell officiating as ushers. Mrs. Ralph A. McGinnis played Lohengrin's wedding march as the bridal party entered, the bride accompanied by her father, and the groom by his brother, MR. SAMUEL BOIES, of Emmetsburg, the bridesmaids being FRANCES LOUISE PENNIWELL and HORTENSE WARNER, cousins of the bride. MISS ALMA KINDBLADE, maid of honor and little DOROTHY and ANN ATZ, of Osceola, cousins of the bride, being the flower girls. MR. JACK FERREN, brother of the bride, sang, "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me", just before the ceremony, the bride being given away by her father.

As the bridal party marched out at the close of the ceremony, Mrs. McGinnis played Mendelssohn's wedding march. Immediately after the ceremony, a three-course wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's aunt, MRS. GEO. W. PENNIWELL, the spacious home being very prettily decorated in pink and white.

The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful white wedding gown, and carried an elaborate bride's bouquet of lillies and roses. MISS KINDBLADE, Maid of honor, wore a green canton crepe gown, MISS PENNIWELL wore an orkid (sic) and MISS WARNER, a pink gown, and both were very beautiful bridesmaids' costumes. The little flower girls, DOROTHY and ANN ATZ were dressed in pink and blue and wore corsage bouquets.

The bride is one of the most popular young ladies of Leon, graduating from the Leon High School and for several years has been a very efficient teacher in the Leon Schools. She has been very active in social and church affairs and will make a helpful companion to the fortunate young man who has won her. The groom is a son of MR. and MRS. S.P. BOIES. of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and he has resided in Leon for several years, being employed as linotype operator at the Journal office in this city. He served two years in overseas service during the World War, after which he returned to Leon. During his residence in this city he has made many friends, such as a young man for his sterling qualities deserves.

MR. and MRS. BOIS departed yesterday afternoon for Emmetsburg, Iowa for a visit after which they will return to Leon and commence housekeeping in the fine bungalow on west Commercial Street, which they have already furnished.

A host of friends extend congratulations to this worthy young couple, and we are more than pleased to see them located here as permanent residents of Leon.
