Farquhar - Aiken Wedding

The marriage of Mrs. Vee Aiken, daughter of J.N. Estes, of Pleasanton, to Frank Farquhar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Farquhar of this city, took place Sunday noon, July 19, at the home of the bride's brother, Orel Estes. The ring service was used, Rev. C.W. Reeder pronouncing the ceremony and Miss. Fern Estes acting as ring bearer. The bride, attired in yellow crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of American Beauties, was attended by Miss. Katherine Forbes, who wore white and carried an armful of yellow Ward roses, while Mr. James Alexander was the best man. The groom's sister, Miss. Ruth, played the wedding march and Miss. Fern Estes sang, "I Love You Truly." The floral decorations consisted of an arch of white and yellow roses banked with ferns and smilax and table decorations of the same. The guests present were the immediate relatives of the bride and groom.

These young people are well known and popular among a large circle of friends. The bride was a teacher in the Leon Public Schools during the past term and the groom for several years has been a member of the hardware firm of Farquhar & Sons. After a lovely dinner served to the company, the young couple accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Orel Estes, started in the latter's car for Keokuk and after visiting there for a few days, will return to this city, where they will be at home to their friends.
