BEN CHASTAIN and MISS INA OVERHOLTZER were married last Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, at the bride's home six miles north of town, Elder H.H. Hubbell, of this city, performing the ceremony. About twenty-five relatives and immediate friends witnessed the ceremony. Following the service and after congratulations, an elaborate wedding supper was served. The bride was born and reared in Decatur County and belongs to one of the oldest and most highly respected families. She is a daughter of MR. SAM OVERHOLTZER. She is handsome and accomplished and possessed of many excellent qualities. The groom is the son of MRS. SARAH CHASTAIN and has always made his home on his mother's farm three miles southeast of Leon. He is industrious, prosperous and popular. He will build a house on his mother's farm where himself and bride will make their future home.

THE PARSON IS HELD UP. Brother Hubbell solemnized the marriage in his usual satisfactory manner and did ample justice to the wedding supper. He was accompanied by Mrs. Hubbell and it was nearly l0 o'clock before they departed for home. They had not proceeded far, however, when they were accosted by a charivari party whose leader mistook them for the newly wedded couple. Three men invited them to alight and surrender the team. It didn't take Mr. Hubbell very long to establish his identity and after profuse apologies, the members of the charivari party withdrew to OVERHOLTZER's, where their program was successfully carried out.
