Main ~ Hendrickson
Mr. Wm. Main of Decatur and Miss Lydia Hendrickson of Grand River, were united in marriage at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, Jan. 18, 1917, at the Decatur M. E. parsonage by Rev. Forest Perkins in the present of a few witnesses.

The groom is the son of John Main living near Decatur. He has been raised a farmer and will pursue that vocation as he begins life for himself.

The bride is the daughter of Elias Hendrickson, living near Grand River, and promises to be a very efficient companion. Mr. and Mrs. Main will be at home after March 1st on a farm near Decatur.
 
Hagan ~ Moore
Harve Hagan of Decatur and Miss Nell Moore of Pleasanton, Iowa, were married at the circuit clerk's office in this city Tuesday, the ceremony being performed by Rev. W. E. Kauffman. Mr. Hagan is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hagan, and his bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Moore. Both are excellent young people and have many friends who wish them well. They will make their home on the Thomas Hagan farm.
 
Booth ~ Metz
Jack Booth of Osceola was married Tuesday afternoon to Miss Neva Metz of Garden Grove. The ceremony was performed in Chariton by the Rev. J. W. Goodsell of the M. E. church. Mrs. Otis Metz, the mother of the bride, was the only relative who witnessed the ceremony. Mr. Booth is well known in Osceola, having lived there all his life. He was formerly employed by the Iowa Telephone Co. Recently he has been employed in Leon. The couple will remain here about a week, and will then go to Garden Grove where Mr. Booth is now employed. [Note: Neva was the telephone operator at Garden Grove.]

[Page 9] On last Wednesday at high noon, Ike Manchester and Miss Verna Parsons were married. That night the boys gave them a good belling. There were over a hundred gathered for the occasion. About thirty of the women folks were present. The treats were cigars, candy, pies, cakes and apples. At a late hour they departed for their homes, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Manchester many happy returns of the day and a prosperous life.
