| New Minister Officiates at Weddings. |
| [Page 1] The M. E. parsonage was highly honored last week, two
pretty wedding ceremonies occuring there. Mr. Floyd E. Webster and Miss Minnie E. Evans, accompanied by a brother and two sisters, were united in marriage on Wednesday. They will make their home on a farm nine miles southeast of Leon. They are both very popular young people of that vicinity, and their many friends wish them much happiness and success. Fred C. Follmer, of Leon, and Miss Mary Hursey, of Lineville, attended by the groom's brother from Cainsville, Mo., and his sister, Miss Edith Follmer, of Leon, were united in marriage Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. Mr. Follmer is a well known young farmer who recently returned from service for his country, and Miss Hursey is one of Lineville's popular young ladies, admired by a host of friends. The young couple will commence life on a farm in the spring, and all join in wishing them happiness and prosperity, and trust they will decide to make their home in this community. |

| [Page 5] The ladies of the Pricilla Club and a number of guests were entertained at the beautiful home of Miss Alice Jeffries Thursday afternoon. The parlors were decorated with lovely autumn flowers and leaves. The guests were invited into the dining room where a white box held beribboned autumn leaves, and each guest drew a leaf, and out came a white heart, announcing the engagement of Miss Alice and Mr. Thomas E. Naughton, of St. Louis, Mo. Congratulations were then in order, and the afternoon most enjoyable spent in social conversation. A dainty two-course luncheon was served. |
