A special meeting of the Leon chapter of the Eastern Star, was held at their hall in Leon last Thursday evening, the occasion being the visit for the purpose of inspection by Mrs. Anna Fields, of Creston, district deputy grand matron, who found the Leon chapter in a flourishing condition. MISS HARRIETT METIER was initiated as a member, and after the secret work a social evening was enjoyed at which light refreshments were served. There was quite a delegation of the Eastern Stars who drove over from Decatur City to attend the meeting, and they were royally entertained while in this city. Those who attended were: MR. and MRS. SHERMAN ROBBINS, MESDAMES WILL CASH, WALTER J. BASSETT, EMMA ORCHARD, and MISSES KATE MEEKER, ELLA MCLAUGHLIN and IDA CREAL.
