On Saturday morning our community was shocked by the sad intelligence of the sudden death of MRS. J.S. BROWN at Melrose, Ohio, her old home. She died on friday evening and the interment took place Monday in Rock Creek Cemetery where her only son, HARRY, lies buried. MRS. BROWN had been in ill health for some time, so her death was not wholly unexpected. She leaves a husband and three daughters, MRS. GEO. RUSSELL and MRS. O.C. JORDAN, of this place and MRS. NORT PYLE, of Kirksville, Mo., also a sister and brother in Ohio, to mourn her loss. MR. and MRS. BROWN moved here in l889 with their family where they have resided for the past fourteen years. MRS. BROWN possessed many noble womanly qualities of both heart and mind, which endeared her, not only to her beloved ones, but to a large circle of friends and acquaintances who deeply deplore her death. In their sad bereavement the family have the deepest sympathy of all.
