Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, November 5, l896 MRS. EMMA C. MCGEE was arrested by Marshal Carmean Sunday evening on the charge of vagrancy. She has been stopping at a house near the narrow gauge depot, and making life miserable to the people in that vicinity. She refused to be tried Sunday so Mayor Grandstaff sent her to jail. On Monday the insane commissioners examined her as to her sanity. The result was that while she was not found insane it was thought best to send her to the poor farm, where she was taken Monday afternoon. The woman was the former wife of GEORGE HUNTLY who was in jail here last winter for lewdness, finally marrying the woman he had been living with. Copied by Nancee (McMurtrey) Siefert
