John and Laura Taylor

William Wadsworth was born in West Moreland County, Pennsylvania, March 10, 1825. As a small child he moved to Stark Co., Ohio and at the age of 21 moved to LaGrange Co., Indiana. He was united in marriage to Julia Hassinger; and after residing in Ind. for a number of years, he moved his family to Decatur County, Ia., in the early 1860's.

One of their sons, Wellington, married Mary Melissa Wycoff Feb. 5, 1882, at Grand River, Ia. Mary Wycoff was born Oct. 3, 1866, near Grand River to John and Sarah Evans Wycoff. Wellington and Mary Wadsworth were the parents of Laura Lucretia who was born Mar. 11, 1883, at Grand River. Laura was married to John Clarence Taylor, Sept. 4, 1906, at Leon, Ia. John was born Mar. 11, 1880, at Newbury, Kansas, to Alfred Arthyle and Margaret Walker Taylor. When John was 6 months of age the family moved near Grand River and a short time later moved into Grand River. John was a butcher and an iceman in Grand River all of his life. After many years of poor health, he died July 16, 1949. Laura lived her senior years in Grand River and Newton, Ia., where she died Nov. 19, 1961. John and Laura Taylor were the parents of 5 children: .......
