Miss Lizzie B. WILSON closed a very successful eight months' term of school on Tick Ridge last Saturday, May 6th, witha picnic given by the patrons together with Miss Nora NORTHRUP and pupils of Pleasant Ridge school. Mr. and Mrs. Enos DAVIS very kindly opened their house for the accomodation of all and a bountiful repast was served, after which we were entertained by recitations, dialogues, and music, participated in by pupils of both schools. There were in attendance about eighty people and all went away feeling that they had enjoyed a very pleasant day and that many thanks were due "mine host and hostess" for the "right royal manner" in which they had been entertained.
ONE WHO WAS THERE.
