The Moffett School was located on the farm of A. W. Moffett, an early settler in Hamilton Township. [Located east of Nine Eagles.] The Latter Day Saints held services at the schoolhouse on occasion.

According to the rural teachers listing of Decatur County, Moffett School had closed by 1947.
