CARL HARESS and MISS KATIE MEYERS who have been making their home with MR. FOSTER, started Tuesday for Leon and there a marriage license was issued for them and taking the train for Des Moines, arriving there they were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. From Des Moines they go seventy miles north to their new home. May peace and happiness be your guardian angel.

Did you ever see a fellow with "wheels in his head"? MARTIN STILL was walking on stilts last week and felt very high, vapor, smoke and heat ascended from the earth as he trudged along. He stubbed his toe and fell into a new world and waking up found that he had been "talking through his hat."

The Buzzard Roost Sabbath School made a pleasant call on the Hardscrabble School last Sunday.
