ACCIDENT DURING FUNERAL PROCESSION.
- - - - - - - -

At the funeral of the infant son of MR. and MRS. ORAL LOGAN on last Sunday, in Woodland Township, while the procession was on the way to the cemetery, a twenty foot bridge spanning a deep ravine broke down under several horsemen who were crossing, throwing horses and riders to the bottom of the ditch in a promiscuous heap. The banks were steep and the bottom deep with mud, and for a time it seemed impossible that they could escape death or serious injury, but by lively work and the assistance of those who hastened to their aid, were got out without sustaining more serious injuries than slight sprains and a few bruises. Those who went down in the wreck were LUTHER LOGAN, MORG. WASSON, ALEX DUNCAN, FRANK WILSON, and JAS. CLARE; none of the horses were seriously injured and altogether the escape of both horses and riders from such a predicament is most fortunate and remarkable.
