John Toney of Leon celebrated his 100th birthday on Thursday, March 10. His

grandson, Jay Toney and family visited him on Wednesday evening. Mr. Toney

received 108 birthday cards, three potted plants, two birthday cakes, a

telegram, many birthday gifts, a number of personal calls and a duck dinner

delivered to him and his wife. He is the father of Frank Toney of Lamoni.
