The taking of the United States Census will start this week. MISS HELEN GRIFFIN, daughter of MR. and MRS. PATRICK GRIFFIN, of this city, has been appointed enumerator for Leon. MISS GRIFFIN is a most capable young lady and she will do her work thoroughly and well.
What is the population of Leon? We will know in the next few weeks. Everybody in Leon should see that they are counted. We want Leon to make a proper showing and every resident of the city should assist the enumerator in every possible way that she may secure a full count of the population of this city. This census will stand as the official record for ten years and it will be the basis for making all official computations and appropriations. Leon's population should be at a high point at the present time. People are unable to secure houses in many cases and every business house in town is occupied and in use.
