| This was the first
town in Davis County. It was first called Harpersville, then Dover, then
Stringtown. The town was on land originally owned by B F Wilson, situated
partly on the NE 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of section 35, township 69, range 12,
about a mile and a half south of the present town of Troy.
