Class Will of 1924 We the Senior class of High School of Bloomfield, in the County of Davis, and state of Iowa, of the age of four years and of being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this our last will and testament, hereby revoking all former will by us made. First, Ermyntrude Smith wills her singing voice and musical ability to Miss Reynolds to be distributed among the Freshman girls who enter next year. She advises, however, that great care be used in making the distribution. She reserves her speaking voice, both conversational and scolding for her own future use. Second, LeRoy McAvoy and Harry Herod jointly will their yellow excuses for tardiness to Hugh Seabury. If he fails to make use of these before May 1, 1925 these possessions go to Emery Sample. Third, I O Harper wills his cheerful and cordial disposition to his one and only brother, Dan, and his sleeping ability to Paul Southern. Fourth, Russell Allen gives his Dignity & Poise to Curtis Irelan and also the guardianship of Pauline Hollin. Fifth, Bernice Wilcoxson wills her ability to talk regardless of what
has been said or what is to be said to Carrie Sixth, Donald Newland bequeaths his good hearty laugh to Gerald Walker to be used at all times whether the occasion is suited or not. Seventh, Charles Chravery gives his determined view point to Wonn Anderson. Eighth, Okle Coy bequeaths his ability in all athletic work to Orlie Brake and his art of making loud speeches upon nothing in the assemblies to Donald Merril. Ninth, Alfred White wills his excessive height to Hans Hamilton. Tenth, Rosa Horn solemnly bequeaths her good grades to Hazel Kratzer and if said person does not take advantage of them by April 1, 1925, they must be given to Esther Skinner. Eleventh, Thelma Hunter wills her fine hand made complexion to Anna Doll. Twelfth, Lillith Boatman is to be the recipient of Alice Ethells friendly laugh and winning disposition. Thirteenth, Rachel Taylor wills her quiet manner and low speaking voice to Mary Bandel. Fourteenth, Mary Keegan wills her gift of oratory and fine supply of freckles to Alta Post. Fifteenth, Hilda Horn bequeaths to Ruth Power her "curly" golden locks. Sixteenth, Floyd Hubbart will the care of Leola Rayburn to Boo Johnson until after the end of May 24, 1924 raly. Seventeenth, Lucille Rhodes will her art of displaying jewelry to Delpha Archer. Eighteenth, Marvin Patterson solemnly and hesitantly gives the Editorship of the Friday Evening Post to Charles Fenton. Nineteenth, Ora Lough leaves the task of taking Clemmie Barker Ford riding to Delbert Carlisle. Twentieth, Chloe Proctor gives her quick and mild soothing ways to Ethlena Barnett. Lastly all other members of the Senior Class not mentioned personally do give and bequeath their lockers, assembly room seats, note-books, tablets, pencils, keys and all other school property to the Junior Class, |
