H Shaw of Belknap has moved to Bloomfield, and expects to open a grocery
near the Wabash Depot. Belknap is suffering from an epidemic of the grip and lung fever. Among those who are sick or have lately recovered ar Mrs J W Miller, Mrs Sherman Dillon, J T Munn, Sam Wells, T D Munn, Wray Blankenship, James Brown and Obe Burns. -1899 Luther Hunt died at the home of his son, James Hunt of Pulaski, Saturday, Jan 11, of a lingering illness. Short funeral services were held at the home Monday. The body was taken to Belknap for interment. Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock funeral service were conducted at Sherman Chapel by Rev Alva Huff, for Mrs L R Wagner, whose remains were tenderly laid to rest there in the cemetery to wait the Judgement Day. At the same hour at Bloomfield, occurred the funeral of the father of C C Pitman. -1919
