raisings, spelling bees, husking bees, butcherings, cider making, nutting, soap and apple butter boiling, may remind our senior citizens of many happy times.

          In 1956-1957, golf enthusiasts form Dallas Center and Adel built a golf course four miles southwest of town.  It has become one of the best nine hole courses in this area.
