Donald August Klotz (1922 - 1976)
Donald August Klotz, one of three children born to Hugo Klotz and his wife, Ida Schmadeke, was born on June 3, 1922. His body was found late Monday afternoon on a roadside south of Cherokee underneath his car where he had died of undetermined causes sometime during the night of September 12 or early September 13, having reached the age of 54 years, 3 months and 10 days.Donald Klotz had lived within the Schleswig area with his parents during his youth. On April 2, 1939 he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Immanuel of Schleswig, under Pastor Schwidder.
Ten years later on January 8, 1049, he was married to Mrs. Hertha Whited of Schleswig in Immanuel Church by Pastor F. A. Wiese. Five children were born of this union. The family farmed in the Schleswig area until 1954 when they moved to the Quimby area where they farmed until 1974. They then moved on acreage near Washta, Iowa where Mr. Klotz was employed by the Quimby Ready Mix Company. The family carried on their membership in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Quimby, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roland. His survivors include his wife, Hertha of Washta, Iowa; five children, Leo of Meriden, Iowa, Leon and Linda both of Storm Lake, Iowa and Larry and Lori both at home in Washta; also one sister, Mrs. Lavina Kastner of Schleswig, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 16, 1976, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig with Rev. Theo. Letzring officiating. Mrs. Leroy Hight was the organist. The congregation sang "Just As I Am Without One Plea" and "I Am Trusting Thee Lord Jesus". Bearers were: Neil Warner, Gary Crouch, Kendall Palmer, Verdean Bumann, William Griffin, and Marvin McMurrin. Interment was made in Morgan Township Cemetery.

Wilhelm Joseph Gehring (1958 - 1985)
Wilhelm Joseph Gehring was born on April 15, 1958, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Wilhelm B. and Charlene J. Pries Gehring. He died Thursday morning, July 8, 1985, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27.Wilhelm spent his early years with his family on a farm near Denison. He was baptized on June 6, 1958, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith on April 15, 1973. He received his formal education in the Denison community schools, graduating from the Denison High School in 1976. He excelled at football during his high school years in Denison. Wilhelm lived for several years in Omaha following graduation.
Wilhelm was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Joseph Pries. Survivors include his parents, Wilhelm B. and Charlene Gehring of Denison, and one sister Tonya, Mrs. Arthur Russell of Hampton, Virginia. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm L. Gehring of Denison, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. May Pries of Irwin, and his fiancée Valerie Jacobsen and daughter Sarah, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 20, 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Interment was in the Morgan Cemetery near Schleswig. The Rev. Donald D. Fraker officiated at the services and graveside rites. Mrs. Fred Rabe served as organist for the services with Mr. Henry Henningsen as soloist. Hymns for the services included How Great Thou Art and Just As I Am. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ronald Backhaus, Leo Pedersen, Robert Bell, Randy Friedrichsen, Scott Namanny, Tim Houston, Jeff Stehr, Tyler Knott and Candy Bandow. Serving as pallbearers were Jon Guthmiller, Don Kiepe, Mike Price, Scott Sporleder, Jim Joyce, and Marty West. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison.

DeWayne Carl Mohr (1944 - 1987)
DeWayne Carl Mohr was born on Jan. 23, 1944 at Denison, Ia., the son of Clarence Mohr and Margaret Hansen Mohr. He died at Denison, on Dec. 9, 1987 at the age of 43 years.DeWayne attended the Zion Lutheran School in Denison and the Denison Community School. He lived all his life in Denison. He drove truck and later was a self-employed mechanic.
DeWayne was united in marriage to Judy Comstock of Denison. To this union three children were born. On July 2, 1987 he and Faye Kinney were united in marriage.
He was preceded in death by a brother Larry. Survivors include his wife, Faye of Denison; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mohr of Denison; two sons, Kevin and Kerry both of Denison and one daughter Kelly and her husband, Gene Rauch of Pleasantville. One granddaughter, Christina Rauch of Pleasantville, and one step-daughter, Kelly and her husband, Jim Naming of Kiron. Also surviving is one brother, Dale Mohr of Glidden; and sisters: Donna, Mrs. Norris Ericson of Arvada, Colo., Diane Miller of Arvada, Colo., Dorene, Mrs. Delbert Sachau of Denison, Rita, Mrs. Kenneth Houston of Denison and Ellen, Mrs. James Robetson of Goose Creek, S.C.; an aunt, Mrs. Margie Worth and uncle, Ervin Mohr, both of Denison, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Reverend Warren Wilson officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Denison. Serving as pallbearers were Glen Cranston, John Miner, Ray Brown, Roger Sanders, Lanny DeMey, Charles E. Shives, Gilbert Beam and Robert Murchland. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison.

Merlin Otto Schmielau (1933 - 2005)
Merlin Otto, son of Otto and Emma (Behrend) Schmielau, was born February 2, 1933, in Nishnabotna Township, Crawford County, Iowa. Reverend Israel baptized him on May 14, 1933.Merlin attended the Asmus and Boeck Country Schools near his home. On November 25, 1956, he was confirmed by Reverend Nutzmann at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. Following his schooling, Merlin helped on the family farm. After the family moved into Walkertown in Manilla, he worked for area farmers. Merlin and his parents were caretakers of Trinity Lutheran Church. Along with his parents, he helped care for and dig graves in Astor and Nishnabotna Cemeteries. In the fall he worked for local seed corn companies.
Merlin was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. He was dedicated to his Lord and Savior and attended worship regularly. He was a loyal community member and a good friend to many.
Merlin became a resident of the Manilla Manor Nursing Home on January 25, 1944. He helped with many odd jobs around the nursing home: feeding the birds; raising and lowering the flag; helping with with mealtime chores; and caring for the pets. He died there on Thursday, January 20, 2005, after a battle with cancer at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Preceding Merlin in death are his parents. He is survived by many first cousins including Dorothy Cleary, Robert Behrend, Wayne Behrend, Ron Meisel, Richard Meisel and Kathy Stuckmyer; his guardian and good friend Trudy Wiechmann of Mankato, Minnesota; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla, Iowa. Pastor David Sewing officiated the service and interment held at the Nishnabotna Cemetery in Manilla, Iowa. Bonnie Lorenzen served as organist for congregational hymns, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages." Those serving as casket bearers were Wayne "Bud" Saunders, Mark Segebart, Keith Boyens, Roland Huebner, Melvin Holdsworth and Jim Macumber. The family invited everyone in attendance at the service back to the church for fellowship and lunch. The Ohde Funeral Home in Manilla was in charge of the arrangements.

Sharon Elaine (Winey) Stehr (1936 - 1981)
Sharon Elaine Winey Stehr, daughter of Louis and Ruth Jordan Winey was born on Aug. 8, 1936 at Deloit, Iowa. She died Sept. 5, 1981, as a result of an accident in Livonia, La. Sharon spent her early years on a family farm near Deloit. She received her education in the public schools graduating from high school in 1954.On Aug. 8, 1954, Sharon was united in marriage to Donald Stehr, son of Albert and Genevieve Stehr at the R.L.D.S. Church in Deloit. To this union were born three children, a son Jeffrey and two daughters, Jill and Judi.
Sharon was active with the R.L.D.S. Church for many years. She has been attending the First Methodist Church in Denison, where she participated in the choir. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and active in the Republican Women. Sharon was presently employed as a department manager with Safeway in Denison.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Denison, one son Jeffrey of Arlington, Tex., two daughters, Jill and Judi, both at home in Denison, two brothers, Stuart Winey of Denison and Carlin Winey of Vail and one sister, Ardath, (Mrs. Darwin) Cose of Papillion, Neb., and her mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stehr of Deloit, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Denison. Burial was in Crawford Heights Memory Gardens. The Rev. Scott Woodworth officiated at the services. Pallbearers included, Daniel Throckmorton, Paul Bergman, Albert Hester, Craig Friedrichs, George Williamson and Mitch Waters. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison.

Cleora (Aldag) Carstens (1931 - 2000)
Cleora Carstens, age 69, of Ida Grove, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.Born May 13, 1931, on the family farm 2 1/2 miles south of Schleswig, Iowa, in Otter Creek Township. Cleora was the daughter of William R. and Minnie O. (Bielenberg) Aldag. She was baptized on August 9, 1931, at Friedens Evangelical Church in Schleswig, and confirmed her faith March 25, 1945, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. She attained the championship for Crawford County in spelling that same year. Cleora attended Schleswig High School and was active in music, band, and all sports activities. She graduated in May, 1949.
On July 2, 1950, she married Leroy J. Carstens at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. The couple lived on a farm near Schleswig from 1953 to 1959, then moved to Ida Grove where they farmed and raised dairy cattle. In 1966, they made their home in Ida Grove and Cleora worked for various businesses in town. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary as treasurer and served as hospital equipment chairperson for seven years. Cleora was also a member of Horn Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she participated in circle and was a past choir member.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy; three children, Nancy Steuk, Janelle Moser and husband Richter, all of Ida Grove, and Clayton Carstens and wife Julie of Spencer; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Connie; two brothers, Gordon and Alwin Aldag; and three sisters, Garnet Claussen, Helen Baack, and Emma Kaskey.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2000 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove with Reverend John Schauer and Reverend Michael Saylor officiating. Burial was in the Morgan Township Cemetery, rural Schleswig, Iowa. The Christensen-Chia Funeral Home in Ida Grove, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Arlo J. Schoenfeld (1932 - 1998)
Arlo J. Schoenfeld was born December 26, 1932, the son of Arthur and Hilda Thun Schoenfeld. He died Sunday, January 25, 1998 at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of sixty-five.Arlo was born on a farm, near Charter Oak, Iowa and received his education at the Charter Oak Community Schools. On February 12, 1933, he was baptized in Christ by Rev. W. Frese, at the Zion Lutheran Church I Denison. March 30, 1947, he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. Schroeder at St. John Lutheran Church, Charter Oak. After completing his education, Arlo entered the United States Army in April of 1953, serving his country in Germany. Arlo received his honorable discharge in March of 1955.
On June 25, 1955, Arlo was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Hyer at the Congress Heights Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. The couple moved to a farm south of Charter Oak, where they lived south of Charter Oak, where they lived until moving into Charter Oak in February of 1986. Arlo farmed and served as Justice of the Peace since 1958. In July of 1973, Arlo was appointed as the Crawford County Magistrate Judge, a position he occupied for thirty-nine years.
Arlo was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Charter Oak and the Western Iowa Two Cylinder Club. In his leisure time, he enjoyed collecting and refurbishing John Deere tractors and also John Deere toy tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary and daughter, Cecilia Ellen on June, 16, 1986. Survivors include one daughter Carrie Sizemore and her husband, Joe of Mooresville, North Carolina, many other relatives.

Charles Fred Hansen (1956 - 2003)
Charles Fred Hansen was born November 28, 1956, the son of August and Marie Hansen. He died with his family by his side in Omaha, Nebraska, Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the age of forty-six.Charles was born in Denison and baptized in Christ December 30, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed March 26, 1972. He received his education in the Denison Community Schools. On January 11, 1977, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged July 30, 1979. While in the army, he served with the 48th Infantry Division, receiving the Parachute Badge and the Expert Hand Grenade and the M16 Sharpshooter Medals. After completing his military duties, Charles traveled extensively in Europe for the next five years. He made his home in Omaha to be with his family during his fight with cancer.
He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and one niece, Heather Hansen. Survivors include his parents August and Marie Hansen of Denison; three brothers, Harry and his wife, Elizabeth of Omaha; Martin and his wife, Penni of Arion; John and his fiancé Sharon Brown of Schleswig; two sisters, Joyce Hansen of Omaha; Myrna Klegin and her husband, terry of Shoreview, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2003 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser and Rev. David Sewing officiated the services and memorial services held at Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig, Iowa. Organist Karen Kahl provided the organ accompaniment for the congregational hymns: "What A Friend We Have in Jesus," "How Great Thou Art," and "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound." The family invited everyone in attendance to join them in fellowship and lunch served by the Dorcas Society. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.

Randolph Henry Braase (1948 - 2001)
Randolph "Randy" Henry Braase was born February 26, 1948, the son of Henry and Delphine Carstensen Braase. He died May 29, 2001 at his home in Reno, Nevada at the age of fifty-three.Randy was born in Denison, Iowa and lived throughout the world while active in the oil services industry. He had a working knowledge of Indonesian and Malay language. His six years of service with the United States Army included five years of duty in the Vietnam War.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Judy Braase of Reno, Nevada; one brother, Bruce Braase of Denver, Colorado; niece, Nichole Braase; sisters-in-law, Debra Braase, Kathy Tang, Nancy Clark, Nicole Wu; brothers-in-law, Ewan Wu, Kenny Wu, and Yinga Wu; and longtime friend, Phyllis Poon.
Memorial services were held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2001 at Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig, Iowa. Rev. Douglas Searles officiated the service and inurnment. Military honors were provided by the American Legion Post 645 and the V.F.W. Post 3930 of Schleswig, Iowa. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them in fellowship and lunch. James William Schwarz (1932 - 1984)
James William Schwarz was born on February 18, 1932, in Ute, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Neoma Sharkey Schwarz. He died on Friday, June22, 1984, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 52.James was baptized as an infant in 1932 and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith during the years of his education. He spent his formative years in the area of Ricketts and Dow City, where he attended the community schools. In June of 1951, James enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Logan during the Korean Conflict.
On May 23, 1954, James was united in marriage to Norma Anderson in Schleswig. After his release from military service, James and Norma remained in California until 1956 when they returned to Iowa making their home in Schleswig.
James was employed with the Schleswig Community Schools for a number of years and later with the City of Schleswig, except for a brief time when he operated a service station in Schleswig. James was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He served for seventeen years on the Schleswig Fire Department including one term as chief.
He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife Norma of Schleswig, his children, Gail, Mrs. Bill Hicks of Dunlap and Mitchell and his wife Rebecca of Schleswig and by his mother, Mrs. Neoma Schwarz of Schleswig. Also surviving are five grandsons, one brother Richard of Spencer and two sisters, Mardella, Mrs. Bob Andresen of Schleswig and Kathryn, Mrs. Vincent Crum of Mapleton.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 25, 1984, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery with full Military Rites provided by the Schleswig American Legion and V.F.W. The Rev. Richard Nelson officiated at the services. Music included Mrs. Barb Buffum as soloist with Mrs. Don Thompson as organist and the Immanuel Ladies Quartet. Hymns included "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art."

Percy Creese Jr. (1934 - 1996)
Percy Creese Jr. was born July 11, 1934, the son of Percey and Hertha Namanny Creese. He died at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City, Monday, September 16, 1996 at the age of sixty-two.Percy grew up on the family farm near Charter Oak and received his education, beginning in a rural school near his home and then graduating with the class of 1952, at the Charter Oak High School. After completing his education, he began his lifetime career in farming. He had a great sense of humor and was happiest when he was with his family and friends. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charter Oak where he was baptized. He served as a Charter Oak Township ASCS Committeeman.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three brothers, Orlen and his wife, Phyllis of Charter Oak; LeVerne and his wife, Joann of Charter Oak; and Elwin and his wife, June of Des Moines; and his special friend, Diana Thomas of Soldier, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 1996, at the United Methodist Church in Charter Oak, Iowa with Rev. Donald Frizzell officiating the service and grave side rites at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. Karen Kahl provided the organ accompaniment for Henry Henningsen's solos of "Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" with the congregation singing "How Great Thou Art." Honorary Pallbearers were: Sherri and Kevin Boozike, Ann E. Creese, Glenn and Joan Butler and Arles and Cathie Dick. Pallbearers were: Greg and Carol Creese, Debbie and Denny Goetzinger, Randy and Karin Creese, Janine and Jerry Waldrup and Linda and Mark Spiegel. Harold Anthony Glackin (1931 - 2004)
Harold Anthony Glackin was born August 2, 1931, the son of Alfred and Barbara Litt Glackin. He died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of seventy-two.Harold was born in Royal, Iowa, where he received his education. He entered the United States Army on September 9, 1952, serving with the 63rd AA Gun Battalion, during the Korean Conflict. Receiving his honorable discharge on August 25, 1954 with an Occupational Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Harold was united in marriage to Joan Gates at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, Iowa, where they made their home. Harold worked at Spencer Foods until 1968, when they moved to Denison and Harold took a position as a Government Meat Inspector. In 1979, the couple purchased and operated Mister Paint for several years. Harold retired in 2003, after thirty-seven years as a Meat Inspector. Harold was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison and the Denison Y.F.W.
Preceding Harold in death were his parents; six brothers, Bernard, Herbert, twin brother Thomas, Alvin, Joseph and Jerome. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Joan of Schleswig; one daughter, Kimala Peterson and her husband, Reynold of Spencer; one son, Michael Glackin and his wife, Jennifer of Midland, Michigan; four grandchildren, Courtney and Caitlyn Peterson, Grace and Alexander Glackin; one brother, Laurence (Mike) Glackin of Omaha; four sisters, Eunice Ives of Maxwell, Iowa; Rosella Vancura and her husband, Joe of Lakefield, Minnesota; Mary Ann Stumbo of Rockwell City; Irene Conlon and her husband, Gerald of Ruthven, Iowa; a foreign exchange student, Bea Souter of Rio, Brazil; many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2004 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, Iowa. Fr. Edward Murray served as Celebrant of the Mass with interment at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Denison. Jean Cornelius provided the organ accompaniment for the St. Rose of Lima Choir and violinist was Dr. RoseMary Mason. Lector was Ann Aldrich. The honorary pallbearers were: Julien & Connie Fontaine, Roger & Marge Lorenger, Larry & Sandy Waldemar, Dr. John & Joyce Amdor, Morris & Virginia Vahle, Ronald & Debra Fink, Velma Schomburg, Dr. David Anderson, Bill & Mary Cullen, Nadine Stender, Dr. Tim Grady, Nancy Glackin, Wilbur Welch, Eldon Biekert and Ralph Lundt. Those serving as pallbearers were: Dave & Sheri Blair, Reynold Peterson, Cecelia Fineran, Durene Krohnke, Tom Glackin, Jerrie Wigg and Laurence Glackin. A Parish Vigil Service was held at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Military Honors were performed by the Denison American Legion Post 8 and the Denison V.F.W. Post 2504. The family invited everyone in attendance to return to the Parish Center and join them in fellowship and lunch catered by Staley's Food Service. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.

Dean Haase (1956 - 2003)
Dean Haase was born January 5, 1956, the son of Herman and Helen Meyer Haase. He died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at the Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of forty-seven.Dean was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on November 18, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed there on April 4, 1971. Dean received his education at the Denison Community Schools, graduating from the Denison High School with the class of 1974. He continued his education at the University of Iowa, graduating in 1978, during which time he also worked at the Iowa City Hospital.
Dean worked for a short time at Circle B in Denison before moving to Cedar Rapids, where he was employed at Nabisco. In 1987, he retired, due to health problems and moved back to Denison, where he began a partnership with The Pub and then expanding in 1998 with the B&D's Grill. He took interest in other investments. Dean was an avid reader of history books and the Wall Street Journal.
His memberships included Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and the Delta Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Iowa. He was a very thoughtful and considerate son, brother and uncle who enjoyed his family very much. Dean was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan enjoying all sports, especially the football season. He had season tickets and when he was unable to attend the games he would give them to others to enjoy. Dean also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Herman and Helen Haase; three brothers, Doug Haase and his wife, Deborah; Dave Haase and his wife, Michele; and Daniel Haase and his wife, Jackie, all of Denison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser and Rev. David Sewing officiated the services and grave side rites held at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison, Iowa. Organist Karen Kahl provided accompaniment for soloist Renae C. Clausen as she sang "God Bless America", and for the congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art", and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". Those serving as pallbearers were: Pat Brosnahan, Barry Jurgensen, Kevin Fink, Ken Lally, Al Hedstrom, Phil Watje, Scott Auld, and Jim Hagen. The family invited everyone in attendance to return to the church and join them in fellowship and lunch served by the Dorcas Society. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.

Verdell Herbert Clausen (1940 - 2005)
Verdell Herbert Clausen passed away on September 2, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 22, 1940 to Herbert and Sylvia (Janssen) Clausen in Battle Creek, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church in Schleswig, Iowa. He attended country school and graduated from Schleswig Community Schools in 1958.Verdell celebrated 45 years of marriage with Kathryn (Kathy) Marie Asmus. They were married on April 17, 1960 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig where he remained a member of the congregation. They were blessed with three children: Kari Lee, Randall Dana, and Amy Marie and five grandchildren: Jay Aaron Jeschke, Josie Marie Schultz, Sara Renee Clausen, Camryn Ann Schultz, and Samuel Dana Clausen.
Verdell and Kathryn made their home on a farm in Soldier Township. Verdell was a dedicated farmer, working first with his father and later in a partnership with his brother Delmer, in Clausen Brothers Farming. He retired as an independent farmer in 2002. Verdell's love of animals, faith in tradition, and passion for the land were his daily inspiration. Verdell and Kathy moved to Schleswig in the summer of 2002.
Verdell was recognized for 22 years of service as a meter reader by the REC. He served on the board of the Crawford County Pork Producers for six years. Verdell enjoyed golfing with Kathy on weekends and his friends on Mondays and Wednesdays. He was an avid college basketball fan and a crossword puzzle wiz.
Verdell was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and two nieces. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Schleswig, Iowa; his children, Kari Jeschke and husband James of Flemington, New Jersey; Randall Clausen and wife Lisa of Johnston, Iowa; and Amy Schultz and husband Jason of Schleswig, Iowa; five grandchildren; two brothers, Delmer Clausen of Ricketts, Iowa and Ronald Clausen of Schleswig, Iowa; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, three aunts, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. Rev. Merle Mahnken officiated the service and grave side rites held at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Marlene Hight provided the organ accompaniment for congregational hymns "The Lamb", "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and "Lift High the Cross". Honorary pallbearers were Richard and Virgene Fredericks; Delbert and Frances Clausen; Larry and JoAnn Clausen; Wayne and Joyce Miller; Leon and Phyllis Clausen; and Larry and Barb Beeck. Dean Walter Maack (1952 - 2000)
Dean Walter Maack was born January 28, 1952, the son of August and Renata Alberts Maack. He died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at the Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa at the age of forty-eight.Dean was born in Denison, Iowa and was baptized in Christ and later confirmed at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Ricketts, Iowa. Dean lived on a farm with his parents and received his education in the Schleswig-Ricketts Community Schools. After completing his education, Dean worked for contractors in the area for a short time.
On August 26, 1978, Dean was united in marriage to Cathy Landry in Minnesota. The couple settled in the Maple Grove and Champlin, Minnesota area and were blessed with the birth of two children. Dean worked as a finish carpenter for Fenna Construction in Minnesota. He later moved to Oklahoma, then to Arizona, where he worked in the furniture industry. In the early 1990's Dean returned to Iowa, making his home in Denison and later in Wall Lake.
Dean was a very caring, easy going, compassionate father, brother and friend who enjoyed spending time with his children. He loved wood working and in his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting and music from the sixty's and seventy's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two half-sisters, Lois & Arbie Maack, two half-brothers, Willis and Myron Maack, and a special nephew, Devin Meseck. Survivors include one daughter, Sara Maack; one son, Jon Maack, both of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; three sisters, Janice Kastan and her husband, Bob of Logan; Ruth Green and her husband, Charles of Lake View; Maureen Meseck and her husband, Lyle of Denison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2000 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa. Rev. David Sewing officiated the service and grave side rites held at the St. Clair Cemetery in Ute, Iowa. Organist, Karen Kahl provided the organ music for congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art", "Nearer, My God, to Thee" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". LaMae Sophie Anna (Johannsen) Aronson (1930 - 2001)
LaMae Sophie Anna Aronson was born March 22, 1930, the daughter of Carl and Hulda Möller Johannsen. She died Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at her home in Charter Oak at the age of seventy-one.LaMae was born on a farm in Goodrich Township, Crawford County, Iowa. She was baptized on April 9, 1930, and confirmed on March 25, 1945, at the Friedens Evangelical Reformed Church in Schleswig, Iowa. She received her education in Goodrich, Otter Creek, and Denison townships. After completing her education, LaMae worked on the family farm.
On August 15, 1949, LaMae was united in marriage to Murlyn Aronson in Hastings, Nebraska. The couple made their home on a farm near Charter Oak until moving to Charter Oak in 1994. They were blessed with the birth of three daughters. LaMae was a devoted member at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak and enjoyed sewing. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Herbert and Reynold; one sister and brother-in-law Benita and Edgar Marquardt; brother-in-law Erwin Riessen, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Elmer and LaVaun Kroll. Survivors include Murlyn, her husband of fifty-two years; three daughters: Sandra Lawson and her husband Herman of Napa, California; Devie Aronson of Fremont, Nebraska, and Wendy Maas and her husband Leon of Charter Oak; seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Joshua, and Timothy Lawson; Amy, Jason, Angela, and Jackie Maas; two sisters: Elfie Riessen of Schleswig and Gladys (Delmar) Wessel of Denison and numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Marlene R. Goslar was born in Ute, Iowa, August 12, 1938, the daughter of Robert and Edna Fischer Neddermeyer, and died October 21, 1988 at the Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City, Iowa at the age of fifty years.Marlene was Baptized September 4, 1938 and Confirmed in the Lutheran faith April 6, 1952 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ute. She grew up on the family farm, and attended rural schools until she entered high school in Ute where she graduated in 1956. After high school, she moved to Omaha and worked at Mutual of Omaha until 1957.
On October 17, 1957, Marlene was united in marriage to Wilfred E. Goslar at St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, Iowa and were together blessed with two children. As a family, they lived their lives on a farm near Charter Oak, and remained on the farm after the death of her husband Wilfred in 1972, and in 1986, she moved to Lake View. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert and husband Wilfred and is survived by two children: Lori Goslar of Flagstaff, Arizona; Randy Goslar and his wife Cindy of Charter Oak; two grandchildren Jennifer and Amanda Goslar of Charter Oak; a friend Gale Carstens of Lake View; her mother Edna Neddermeyer of Ute; two brothers Ervin Neddermeyer of Schleswig; John Neddermeyer and his wife Joan of Ute; two sisters Ruth Moeller and her husband Gordon of Altoona; and Millie Lansman and her husband Roger of La Vista, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 1988 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. Mrs. Angela Gebhardt was organist and Henry Henningsen was soloist. Selections were "How Great Thou Art" and the congregational song was "I'm But a Stranger Here." Serving as pallbearers were Marc Neddermeyer, Michael Moeller, Tom R. Lansman, Shawn S. LaVerle Esther (Asmus) Berg (1933 - 1998)
LaVerle Esther "Bobbie" Berg from Odebolt was born September 10, 1933 in Vail to William and Gertrude Schneider Asmus. She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig in 1947. LaVerle, better known as "Bobbie" attended country school near Schleswig and graduated from Schleswig High School in 1951. Bobbie worked at Behrman's Grocery Store and Peter's Drug Store while going to high school.On February 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles Wesley Berg at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. They lived on the home farm until moving into Odebolt in 1975 when Wesley started working as a custodian at the school. Bobbie worked as a dishwasher at the school for ten years and enjoyed all of the children.
Bobbie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Odebolt where she had taught Sunday School and Bible School, U & I Club, Wheeler Improvement Club, Wednesday morning coffee club and Trinity quilting group. Hobbies she enjoyed were cooking, sewing, raising flowers and most of all doing things for her children and grandchildren.
On May 20, 1998, LaVerle passed away at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove at the age of 64.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Billy. She is survived by her husband, Wesley, three children, Mike of Grand Junction, CO., Bill (Beverly) of Ames and Debbi Berg of Sac City; seven grandchildren, Micah, Kyle, Brandon, Kevin, Ryan and Jenna Berg, and Nathaniel Jones; one great-grandson, Colton James Berg; and six sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Wiebers and Kathy (Verdell) Clausen, all of Ricketts, Marge (Elmer) Gierstorf of Charter Oak, Ruth (Virgil) Schmidt of Schleswig, Marilyn, (Leonard) Ernst of Bella Vista, AK., and Shirley Kastner of Kiron.

Michael Eugene Feddersen (1957 - 2003)
Michael Eugene Feddersen was born November 11, 1957, the son of Gene Goeser and Gloria Petersen. He died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of forty-five.Michael was born in Denison, Iowa and received his education in the Dow City Community School. Michael was baptized in Christ and later confirmed on May 21, 1972 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City, Iowa. After completing his education he worked at Farmland Foods in Denison until age twenty-two, when he had open heart surgery. After his recovery Michael worked in food service at various places, including Furrs Cafeteria, Cubb Foods, the Marriot, helping setup for banquets and also at the Holiday Inn in Milan, Illinois.
On March 28, 1987, Michael was united in marriage to Melissa Walker in Rock Island, Illinois. The couple returned to Denison, where Michael worked as a mechanic at the Honda Shop for Eldon Christiansen, for twelve years. He was a particular worker who especially enjoyed working on mopeds. Michael had two additional heart surgeries and because of health problems had to quit working in April of 2002.
Michael was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City. He loved his wife, Melissa, his nieces, nephews and his dogs, Riley and Murray. He enjoyed motorcycles and cars, and rebuilding them. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and knew each style of driver. Michael spent his leisure time fishing, watching science fiction and socializing in a game of cards.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gene Goeser, his mother, Gloria in 1999, his grandfather, Rudolf Petersen and his grandparents, Meinhard and Henry Feddersen. Survivors include his wife, Melissa of Denison, his father, John Feddersen of Denison; three sisters, Cynthia Krick of Newbern, North Carolina; Connie Andersen and her husband, John of Earling; Colleen Trujillo of Denison; one brother, John Feddersen of Denison; his maternal grandmother, Lorena Petersen of Denison; other relatives and many friends.

Charles F. Asmus (1926 - 1997)
Charles F. Asmus of 38115 Via Taffia, Murrieta, California was born June 9, 1926 to William H. and Gertrude Schneider Asmus. He was born near Denison, Iowa. He died on July 2, 1997 at his home.He moved with his family to Schleswig, Iowa in 1939 and attended the area schools and attended Schleswig High School. He enlisted in the navy on June 9, 1944. He received an honorable discharge 1946 and returned briefly to Schleswig, Iowa.
He then returned to California and on November 2, 1947 he married Virginia Mary Schreve, they were the parents of three sons and two daughters. Chuck was employed in the trucking industry, first as a driver and then into management. He retired in 1989 and moved into Murrieta, CA.
His survivors include his wife Ginny, his daughters, Joyce Guibord and her husband Rob of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Tina Schaunnesy and her husband Dan of Corpus Christi, Texas, sons David Asmus and his wife Toni of Temecula, Calif., Bill Asmus and his wife Julie of La Mirada, Calif., Bob Asmus and his wife Linda of Gustine, Calif. Fifteen grandchildren and seven sisters, Dorothy Wiebers of Charter Oak, Ia., Marge Lantz of Charter Oak, Iowa, Ruth Schmidt of Denison, Ia., Marilyn Ernst of Bella Vista, Ark., Bobbie Berg of Odebolt, Iowa, Shirley M. Kastner of Kiron, Ia., and Kathy Clausen of Ricketts, Ia. He was preceded in death by one brother Billy and his parents William and Gertrude Asmus.
Funeral services were held on July 5 at the Miller Jones Mortuary in Sun City, Calif. Services were conducted by Joe Woods, Chaplain. Eulogy was given by his sister Shirley Kastner. Personal sharing time was given by Brandy Pinkstaff, Jed Asmus, and Sean Asmus, and a special poem written for his Grandpa was read by Kyle Asmus. Music for the service included the songs "Daddy's Hands", "Wind Beneath My Wings", and "Go Rest High on that Mountain".

Shawn Gene Haberberger was born June 14, 1979, the son of Gene and Marlys Hagemann Haberberger. He died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at his home in Aurora, Colorado.Shawn was born in Denison, Iowa and was baptized in Christ August 5, 1979 and confirmed April 24, 1994 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. He received his education in the Schleswig Community School and later graduated from the Denison-Schleswig Community High School with the Class of 1998.
He then continued his education at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa, completing his Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Operation certification. He then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, then to Portland, Oregon where he worked construction and later, moved to Aurora, Colorado, where he was also employed in his field.
As a youngster, Shawn enjoyed playing in the dirt with his Tonka trucks and playing flag football. While in high school, he was very active in athletics, as he lettered as a sophomore in football and was captain of the football team. He also placed 2nd in the Punt, Pass & Run event, and earned 5th place in the Shot Put & Discus event. Among his hobbies were hunting, fishing, skiing, snowboarding and skydiving. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved driving his bright red Chevy pickup everywhere and looked forward to helping out people who were homeless and not as fortunate as him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leonard B. Hagemann. Survivors include his parents, Gene and Marlys of Schleswig; two sisters: Erika Haberberger of Denison and Amber Haberberger of Columbus, Nebraska; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Hagemann; his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lou Ann Haberberger; two nephews: Chanz, and Cole; one niece, Dyshawna; three uncles: Lonnie Hagemann and his wife, Brenda; Craig Hagemann; and Lee Haberberger and his wife, Patsy; two aunts: Karen Baker and her husband, Roger; and Janice Petersen; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. Rev. Merle Mahnken officiated the service. Verdell Herman Fredric Wodtke (1934 - 2003)
Verdell Herman Fredric Wodtke was born February 6, 1934 near Charter Oak, Iowa, the son of Marcus and Edna (Teut) Wodtke. He attended country school, Cooper Township #6, near Mapleton. In 1953 the family moved to the home place near Charter Oak where Verdell previously farmed and still lived. The farm is a century farm. Verdell was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Charter Oak on March 4, 1934 and was confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran at Mapleton, Iowa on May 16, 1948. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as a church trustee.Verdell served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5605 of Ute. He was also a member of the N.F.O. and Berne Coop. Verdell enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Marlene and Don Bohlmann of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jolene and Phil Ketelsen of Mapleton, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Rita Wodtke of Sioux City, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Delbert, and one sister, Janice.
A prayer service was held on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Chapel in Mapleton, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Soldier Township, rural Charter Oak, Iowa with Pastor Eugene Ernst officating the service and grave side rites held at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Charter Oak. Creta Teut served as organist accompaniment for congregationial hymns, "I'm But A Stranger Here", "How Great Thou Art" and "Abide With Me". Military Graveside Honors were provided by V.F.W. Post #5605 and American Legion Aaby Post #442, both of Ute, Iowa. Those serving as pallbearers were Mark Bohlmann, Joel Wodtke, Eric Wodtke, David Bruhn, Erik Koenigs and Matt Grabowski. The Armstrong Funeral Service of Mapleton, Iowa was in charge of the arrangements.

Magda (Ludemann) Sahl (1920 - 1988)
Magda Sahl, the daughter of Henry and Louise Thomas Ludemann, was born on July 28 1920, in Tornech Schleswig Holstein, Germany. She died on Oct. 27, 1988 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison at the age of 68 years.She spent her early years on a farm in Germany, coming to the United States with her mother, brother and sister when she was nine years old. The family came to Crawford County, Ia., where they made their home. Magda attended school in Germany, continuing her education in Paradise Township and Buck Grove. She helped neighbors and friends as needed after her schooling.
On Jan. 8, 1939, Magda and Leslie Sahl of Denison were united in marriage by Reverend Schmidt at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Denison. This union was blessed with five children. After their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Deloit until moving to a farm south of Vail in 1943, making this their home for 33 years. In 1976 they retired and moved to Denison.
Magda became a citizen on the United States on Jan. 4, 1940. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, and a member of the church Ladies Aid. Her greatest enjoyment was her family, grandchildren and church. She was a very out going person, making friends with everyone she met.
Magda was preceded in death by her father and one sister; Anita Rath. Survivors include her children: Luana and her husband, Marlan Doughty of Oskaloosa, Kenneth and his wife, Kathy of DeKalb, Ill., Connie and her husband, Donald Hodne of Manilla, Wayne of Denison, and Linda and her husband, Lowell Joslin of Indianola; her mother, Louise Ludemann of Denison; one brother, Ernest Ludemann and his wife, Violet of Nevada; nine grandchildren and three-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with Paster Kurt Kaiser officiating. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery near Denison. Mrs. Darold Kahl was organist and Henry Henningsen was soloist. Selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "Come Unto Me, Ye Weary." The congregational song was "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Serving as pallbearers were Trent Hodne, Fletcher Sahl, Jason Sahl, Delbert Bissen, LaVern Ludeman and Guy Everett Miller. Myron Merle Maack (1938 - 1982)
Myron Merle Maack was born on October 27, 1938 in Crawford County, Iowa, the son of August and Irene Gosch Maack. He died on Thursday, January 7, 1982 at Burgess Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa at the age of 43.Myron spent his early years on a farm near Denison. Later in 1944 his family moved to a farm north of Ricketts. He received his early education in the rural schools near his home and later graduated from the Charter Oak High School.
Myron was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. For the past number of years, Myron was employed in Illinois in the steel industry. In April of 1981 he moved back to Iowa, making his home in Ute.
In addition to his parents, Myron was preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Janurary 9, 1982 at 10:30 a.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Charter Oak, Iowa. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa. Vicar Fred Lingenfelder of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Ricketts, Iowa officiated the services. William Herman Miller (1941 - 2005)
William Herman Miller was born August 11, 1941, the son of Bernard and Betty Blume Miller Sr. He died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at his home near Charter Oak, Iowa at the age of sixty-three. Bill was born in Battle Creek, Iowa and received his education at the Denison Community School.On October 31, 1964, he was united in marriage to Lois Dirksen at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, Iowa. The couple made their home in Denison, Iowa until May of 1970, when they moved to Charter Oak. The later moved to acreage near Charter Oak.
Bill worked for K & S Equipment in Denison then at Ida Grove Parts in Ida Grove and before his retirement he worked for Malone Trucking. He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Charter Oak and the Charter Oak Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoyed stock-car racing and worked as a racing mechanic in the 1960's and 1970's. He also enjoyed cuffing iron and working on his own cars with his children at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Miller. Survivors include his wife, Lois of Charter Oak; three sons, Craig Miller and his wife, Kelly of Charter Oak; Kyle Miller and his wife, Tracie of Schleswig; Kory Miller and his wife, Maura of Ankeny; three daughters, Michele Albers and her husband Todd of Blue Springs, Missouri; Pamela Miller of Independence; Karen Shorney and her husband, Ryan of Sanford, Florida; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Malone and her husband, Ivan of Dow City; Marie Blackman and her husband, Barry of Denison; and one brother, Bernard (Butch) Miller Jr. and his wife, Renee of Denison; many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2005 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Charter Oak, Iowa. Fr. Richard Ball served as Celebrant of the service with interment at the St. Paul's Cemetery, Charter Oak. Instrumentalist, Mary Daniel played the organ music for "Gather Us In" and accompanied soloist, Makayla Beeck singing "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and "On Eagle's Wings". A Scriptural Prayer Service was held at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Legion of Mary Rosary at 7:30 p.m., Thursday at the Huebner Funeral Home in Charter Oak. Those serving as pallbearers were: Vernon Kuehnhold, Barry Blackman, Raymond Dirksen, Clay Shumate, Fred Dirksen and Kevin Pester. The family invited everyone in attendance at the service to join them in fellowship and lunch at the church, served by the Altar Society. Hans J. Malone (1934 - 2001)
Hans J. Malone was born August 9, 1934, the son of Rueben J. and Blanch Hardy Malone. He died September 17, 2001 at the Crawford County memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of sixty-seven. As a young man, Hans farmed with his father north of Dow City, Iowa.On November 20, 1966, Hans was united in marriage to Judy Werneburg in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The couple settled in Dow City where Hans continued to farm with his father until 1970, when his father retired. Hans began farming on his own and helped several area farmers with custom farming jobs. He continued farming until his retirement in 1985. On October 1, 1995, Hans and Judy moved to Lake View, Iowa.
Hans loved farming and was a farmer at heart. He loved growing melons, going to the rodeo and watching old westerns. He also enjoyed fishing in farm ponds and in Lake View, often smoking the fish from his catches. He was a kind, gentle, and understanding man who loved his dogs and enjoyed taking care of his livestock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin siblings, Merlene and Marlene; one brother, James and one sister, Lillian. He is survived by his wife, Judy; four sisters, Hazel Volkman of Battle Creek; Anna Wendt and her husband, Melvin of Woodbine; Minnie Gustafson and her husband, Harlan of Omaha; and Marcelene Vogt of Dow City; one brother, Earl Malone; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2001, at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa. Elder Vincent Argotsinger officiated the service and grave side rites held at the Dow City Cemetery in Dow City, Iowa. Organist Beverly Custer provided the organ accompaniment for soloist Beth Vogt as she sang "Amazing Grace", and for the congregational hymn "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". Those service as pallbearers were: Roger Werneburg Jr., Jay Bierstedt, Dale Collins, Mark Gustafson, David Collins, and Randy Wendt. The family invited everyone in attendance to the Brasel Hall in Dow City for fellowship and lunch served by the R.L.D.S. Women. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.

Darwyn LaDel Lingle (1937 - 2000)
Darwyn LaDel Lingle was born February 26, 1937, the son of Harley and Verena Ranniger Lingle. He died Sunday, August 13, 2000 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of sixty-three.Darwyn was born in Hanover Township, Denison, Iowa and received his education in a rural school near his home and graduated from the Denison High School with the class of 1955. He was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hanover Township and later confirmed on April 6, 1952 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denison by Rev. C. W. Schmidt. Darwyn entered the United States Air Force in 1956 and served until 1960. He returned to Crawford County and worked in construction, upholstery and a limo service. Darwyn received his E.M.T. certification in the 1980's.
On February 14, 1984, Darwyn was united in marriage to Gwen Plain Christiansen at the Assembly of God Church in Denison, Iowa. The couple made their home in Denison and later in Dow City. Darwyn enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, gardening and canning vegetables. In his leisure time he loved fishing, drawing and watching television.
Darwyn was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sharyn and one brother-in-law, Harry Plain. Survivors include his wife, Gwen of Dow City; two sons, Mark Lingle and his wife, Pam of Nebraska; Bret Lingle and his wife, Sue of Sioux City; one daughter, Darla Lingle of Sioux City; eleven grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beatrice Sparks of Denison; Leaworth and Laura Plain of Utah; Joyce and Norman Kuehn of California; Emily Winsor of Pocatello, Idaho; Dennis Plain of Utah; Laramie Plain of Lohrville, Iowa; Lois Hester of Denison; Genevieve and Rick Carlyle of Sioux Rapids; Isabella Blalock of Denison; Luther and Jane Plain of Lohrville; Frank Plain of Dunlap; one aunt, Lynn and Venice Derbin of Jefferson; other relatives and friends.

Gene Zimmer (1932 - 2002)
Gene Zimmer was born December 31, 1932, the son of George and Zella Brasel Zimmer. He died Thursday, January 17, 2002 at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of sixty-nine.Gene was born in Vail, Iowa and was baptized in Christ January 14, 1933 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail. He received his education at St. Ann's Catholic School in Vail, where he graduated. After receiving his education, Gene farmed with his father in Boyer, until moving to Omaha and working at Cook's Paint. He later moved to Colorado where he worked with his uncle Jack on a ranch before returning to Omaha and working as a supervisor in charge of shifts and as a machinist at Donnelly until the branch closed in 1985. Subsequently, Gene worked for Continental General Insurance as a claim adjuster and in data entry until his retirement in 1995.
Gene was a very private person who enjoyed traveling to Europe, the Panama Canal, and places in the United States, especially Alaska, Hawaii and New York. In earlier years, he enjoyed hunting with his brother, Duane. His pride and joy was his cars, always taking good care of them.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold and Donald. Survivors include three sisters, Naurine Schultz of Olpe, Kansas; Betty Crane of Prophetstown, Illinois; Waldean Rice of Seattle, Washington; and one brother, Duane Zimmer and his wife, Vanessa of Schleswig; one sister-in-law, Betty Zimmer of Kiron; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2002, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa. Celebrant of the Mass was Fr. John Thomas. Interment was held at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Vail. Organist Irene Feilmeier provided the organ accompaniment for St. Ann's Family Choir. Those serving as pallbearers were: Frank Zimmer, Darrell Crane, Aric Zimmer, Dennis Crane, Dale Zimmer, and Nick Zimmer. A Parish Rosary was held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2002, at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Orben Edward Kastner (1930 - 1980)
Orben Edward Kastner was born Dec. 27, 1930 at Schleswig, Iowa, the son of Robert E. and Helen J. Wellendorf Kastner. He died Sept. 22, 1980 at Bishop Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, Nebr. at the age of 49.On March 8, 1931, Orben received the sacrament of Holy Baptism at the United Church of Christ with Rev. Kiellhorn officiating. Orben confirmed his faith personally in this church on March 25, 1945 under Rev. A.F. Rinnie. Since that time he has been a faithful member of this congregation, having served on the church council. Orben received his early education in the rural school near his home and later was graduated from the Schleswig High School in 1949.
On August 23, 1953, Orben was united in marriage to Shirley Asmus. Together they made their home on the family farm east of Schleswig. Orben began his career as a farmer and lived his entire life on the same farm that his father and grandfather before him has spent their lives. He served on the Co-op Board of Directors at Ida Grove for several years. Orben farmed from 1949 till 1976, when due to failing health he was hospitalized on numerous occasions.
Orben was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife Shirley of Kiron, two sons, Tony of Kiron and Greg of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., one daughter Lisa at home, two daughter-in-laws, Lori and Bonnie and one grandson Joshua Orben Kastner. Also by his mother Helen and step father Louis Kastner, two sisters, Marlan, Mrs. Irvin Harm of Schleswig and Norma, Mrs. August Maack of Ricketts, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 24, 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery near Schleswig. The Rev. Fred Moore officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Fred Schultz, Dennis Gustafson, Delmar Mauritz, Clarence Friedrichsen, Wayne LaFrentz and Hans Jess. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Schleswig.

Ira Joseph Gress (1936 - 1986)
Ira Joseph Gress was born Jan. 7, 1936 in Denison, Iowa the son of George W. and Clara Golden Gress Sr. He died on Aug. 31, 1986 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison at the age of 50.Ira spent his early years on a farm near Charter Oak. He received his early childhood education in rural school near his home. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Ricketts, in 1958.
He was united in marriage to Betty Jean Creese at the Church of Gethsemane in Omaha, Nebr., on Feb. 22, 1959. They farmed south of Charter Oak for two years until moving to a farm east of Charter Oak where they resided for fourteen years. In 1975, they moved to a farm one mile north west of Charter Oak. There they continued to farm until 1979 when diabetes and failing eyesight formed Ira into early retirement in 1980.
Ira was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church; an active member in L.L.L. and also community functions. He was a member of the CB Club and a past director of the Crawford County Pork Producers.
Ira was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Anna Mae, who died in infancy. Survivors include, his wife, Betty Jean; two daughters, Debra, Mrs. Darwin Landgraf and Judy Gress, both of Denison; three grandchildren, Calin and Jacob Landgraf and Kayla Gress. Four brothers, George Gress Jr. of Denison; Arthur Gress of Charter Oak; Carroll Gress of Schleswig and Charles Lyman of Portland, Ore., one sister, Noreen, Mrs. Charles Jordon of Waterloo. Ira is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sept. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. Burial was in the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. The Rev. L.C. Gebhardt officiated at the services. Mrs. Paul Clausen was the organist with the St. John's Ladies Choir singing.

Erna Margaret (Weltz) Carstensen (1932 - 2001)
Erna Margaret Carstensen was born January 17, 1932, the daughter of Albert and Emma Reichet Weltz. She died Friday, March 30, 2001 at the Denison Care Center in Denison, Iowa at the age of sixty-nine.Erna was born in Denison, Iowa and was baptized in Christ on May 8, 1932 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed there on January 17, 1947. She grew up in Crawford County and graduated from the Denison High School with the class of 1950.
Erna was united in marriage to Raymond H.F. Carstensen and were blessed with the birth of five sons. Erna worked as a supervisor in the ASCS Office in Denison, retiring after working forty-two years.
Erna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her plants, gardening and in her leisure time, Erna enjoyed reading and bus trips with the bank and to the casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Emma Weltz. Survivors include five sons, Dale and his wife, Barbara of Denison; David Carstensen and Dennis Carstensen, both of Lawton, Oklahoma; Dean Carstensen of Olathe, Kansas; and Dan Carstensen of Denison; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Helen Boehm and her husband, Walter; one brother, Willie Weltz and his wife, Janie, all of Denison; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser and Rev. Evelyn W. (Schultz ) Greenstreet (1934 - 2002)
Evelyn W. Greenstreet was born June 14, 1934, the daughter of Paul A. and Adelia Rose Miller Schultz near Charter Oak, Iowa. She died September 24, 2002 at her home in Denison, Iowa at the age of sixty-eight.Evelyn was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She attended rural schools in Ida and Crawford Counties and received her General Education Diploma in Denison.
On January 11, 1960, Evelyn was united in marriage to Kermit Greenstreet, who was veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Far East, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. After their marriage, Evelyn and Kermit farmed for most of their lives. Due to health reason, she became home-ridden and was taken care of by her husband, Kermit.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and was very fond of flowers. She was very dedicated to her Lord and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother-in-law, Wesley Sherman. She is survived by her loving husband Kermit; Russell and Jacqueline and a special friend, Larry Stark; three grandchildren: Brandon, Angie, and Kim Wetherell; two sisters: Phyllis Ochsner and her husband, Ted of Florissant, Colorado; and Ruth Sherman of Lincoln, Nebraska; two brother: Allen Schultz and his wife, Mary Ann of Ida Grove; and Leslie Schultz and his wife, Patricia of Schleswig; other relatives and many friends.

Genevieve G (Jepsen) Brodersen (1923 - 1994)
Genevieve G. Brodersen was born January 21, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Frieda Jepsen. She died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 15, 1994 at the age of seventy-one years.Genevieve was born on a family farm in Goodrich Township near Schleswig. She was baptized in Christ at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison as an infant, and later confirmed in the Friedens Evangelical Church in Schleswig. She received her formal education in Goodrich No. 3, near her home.
After completing her education, Genevieve helped her family on the farm until November 1, 1945, when she was united in marriage to LeRoy Brodersen in the Friedens Evangelical Church in Schleswig. The couple settled on a farm in Goodrich Township near her family and were blessed with the birth of one son. The couple remained on the farm for thirty-one years before moving to Schleswig in 1977.
Genevieve was a loving wife and mother who cared for her family with diligence. In her leisure time, she loved cooking and baking, and was employed in various restaurants in the region, including: Schelldorf Motel and Cafe, Les Cafe, Walts Cafe, Bartels Bakery, Alices Cafe, the Schleswig Lanes and The Place. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, their Ladies Guild, the V.F.W. Auxiliary 3930 of Schleswig and the Senior Citizens of Schleswig.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, LeRoy on August 10th, 1993 and one brother, Raymond Jepsen in 1992. Survivors include one son, Darrell and his wife, Marcia of Schleswig, three grandchildren: Ricky Brodersen and his wife, Mary of Kiron, Candis Brodersen of Denison; and Kyle Brodersen of Schleswig. Also, one sister, Eva Bielenberg of Charter Oak; and two sisters-in-law, LaRue Schultz and her husband, Melvin of Schleswig; and Beverly Borre and her husband, Clarence of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 19, 1994 at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, with Rev. James Schatz officiating the service and grave side rites held at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Evelyn Johnson provided the organ accompaniment for soloist, Rubie Kastner singing "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Tricia Renae Littleton was born September 16, 1973, the daughter of David and Joan Spencer Littleton. She died Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of thirty-two.Tricia was born in Denison, Iowa and received her education in the Denison schools, graduating with the class of 1991. After graduation, she attended Xenon School of Cosmetology in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 1992. She was employed in Iowa, Amarillo, Texas and in Omaha.
She was a very loving and caring daughter, granddaughter, and friend who was always willing to help anyone that needed her. In her spare time, Tricia enjoyed making jewelry, riding horses, and participating in Horse Shows. She also spent much of her time with her best friend, her chocolate lab, Bruiser.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Littleton; her sister, Debbie Pineda, her maternal grandfather, Ralph Spencer; and her paternal grandfather, Rex Littleton. She is survived by her parents, Joan Littleton and Mike Petersen of Denison; her stepmother, Diana Maulsby and her husband, Mark of Denison; one brother, Jerod Petersen and his wife, Kim of Schleswig; and one sister, Keri Winsick and her husband, Glenn of Bellevue, Nebraska; her maternal grandmother, Pat Nutt of Dunlap; and her paternal grandmother, Irene Littleton of Denison; many loving aunts and uncles; other relatives and many, many friends.

Ethel I. (Christiansen) Dixon (1920 - 1990)
Ethel I. Dixon was born Sept. 3, 1920, on a farm in Goodrich Township, Crawford County, Ia., the daughter of Carsten and Marie Dozark Christiansen. She was baptized June 3, 1921, by the Rev. William Frese at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and was confirmed there April 14, 1935.She attended the Goodrich No. 7 rural school and was graduated from the Denison High School in 1938 with a Normal Training Degree. She then taught for two years in the rural schools.
On June 2, 1940, Ethel was united in marriage with Alvin Dixon at her parents' farm home. Their union was blessed with one son, Wayne. They farmed in the area until moving to Denison in 1963. Ethel was employed in the maternity ward at the Denison Hospital for 26 years, retiring in 1982.
Ethel died Friday evening, Aug. 3, 1990, at her home in Denison. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 69 years and 11 months. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Zion Ladies Aid, and they were members of the Zion Wedding Ring Club.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Alvin Dixon of Denison; one son and his wife, Wayne and Vicki Dixon of Cedar Hill, Texas; three grandsons, Wayne Dixon, Jr., of Cedar Hill, Texas, Curtis Simpson of San Diego, Calif., and Todd Simpson of Cedar Hill, Texas; two sisters, Violet Staller of Vista, Calif., and Evelyn Staller of Denison; one brother and his wife, Earl and Esther Christiansen of Denison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with the Reverends Kurt R. Kaiser and Philip E. Bloch officiating. Music for the service was provided by Henry Henningsen singing "Rock Of Ages" and "Beautiful Savior," and the congregation singing "I'm But A Stranger Here." Karen Kahl served as organist. Pallbearers were Bruce E. Crawford, Charles Dixon, Merlin Christiansen, Don Eggert, Darold Sieck and John O'Brien. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery in Denison. The Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.

Donna Lee (Ketelsen) Jacobsen (1943 - 1996)
Donna Lee Jacobsen, the daughter of Walter and Eldora (Meggers) Ketelsen was born on October 7, 1943 at Charter Oak, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak and graduated from Charter Oak High School in 1961.On November 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to Leo Jacobsen at St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. Three children were born to this union. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Jacobsen farmed in the Walnut area. Donna was also employed for ten years at Northwestern Bell and US West Telephone Company. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville and also a member of the Monroe Merrymakers Club.
Donna died at the Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Hawaii, Iowa on May 12, 1996 having attained the age of 52 years, seven months and five days.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Jacobsen of Walnut, her children, Walter and his wife Kim Jacobsen of Des Moines, Iowa; Steven and his wife, Mary Jacobsen of Ankeny, Iowa and Deborah Jacobsen of Walnut, her parents, Walter and Eldora Ketelsen of Charter Oak, her brothers and sister, Phil and his wife Jolene Ketelsen of Mapleton, Iowa; Janice and her husband Gene Miller of Denison, Iowa; Larry and his wife Jan Ketelsen of Charter Oak and Ricky and his wife Rhonda Ketelsen of Denison; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Elmer A. Maak (1922 - 1982)
Elmer A. Maak was born January 30, 1922, on a farm in Stockholm Township, Crawford County, Iowa, the son of Arthur A. and Amanda Giermann Maak. He was baptized at his parents' home April 30, 1922, and was later confirmed into the Lutheran Faith June 2, 1935, at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Stockholm Township. Elmer was raised on the family farm and received his formal education at the country schools near his home.On February 6, 1944, Elmer was united in marriage with Junabell Paulsen of Cushing, Iowa, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Stockholm Township. Together, they made their home on a farm in Stockholm Township until 1965 when they moved to Denison. Elmer was employed at the Maxwell Funeral Home in Denison until April of 1966 when he began working at the Crawford County Engineers Office. He was employed there until 1979 when ill health forced him to reduce his workload from full-time to a part-time basis.
On December 2, of this year, Elmer entered the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison and it was there his death occurred, following a three year illness, Monday morning, December 20, 1982. At the time of his death he had attained the age of 60 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison.
Elmer was preceded in death by his father, Arthur A. Maak. He is survived by his wife, Junabell Maak of Denison, two daughters, MarJean, Mrs. Richard Petersen of Denison and Raynetta, Mrs. Gary Rice of Sioux City, his mother, Mrs. Amanda Maak of Kiron, four grandchildren, Starla and Kyle Petersen and Tyler and Jayson Rice, and one sister, Viola, Mrs. Lynnel Baker of Kiron. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1982, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa, with the Rev. Jack D. Heck officiating. Comfort in music was provided by congregational singing with Mrs. Fred Rabe as organist. Casket bearers included his nephews, Dana Jorgensen, Kent Jorgensen, Dale Baker, Dan Johnson, Verdell Buss, and Mardell Buss. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Stockholm Township. The Pfannebecker-Maxwell Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.

Donna Mae Margaret (Mohr) Ericson (1935 - 2000)
Donna Mae Margaret Mohr Ericson was born August 10, 1935, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret Hansen Mohr in Charter Oak, Iowa.She died on September 2, 2000, at her residence in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of sixty-five.
Donna was born on a farm near Charter Oak, Iowa, and received her education in the Denison Community Schools, Denison, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Norris Elmore Ericson on August 13, 1953 in Denison, Iowa. Donna was employed by the state of Colorado until her retirement and was also self employed in direct sales. Donna was a very devoted and caring mother. She loved to cook for her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margaret Mohr, three brothers, Dale, Dewayne, and Larry Mohr.
She is survived by her husband, Norris of Lakewood, Colorado; four sons, Mike and wife Susan of Elizabeth, Colorado, Gregg and wife, Mayme of Eagle, Colorado, and Jeff and Keith of Lakewood, Colorado; seven grandchildren, four sisters, Dianne Miller of Denver, Colorado, Dorene Schau of Denison, Iowa, Rita Houston of Dow City, Iowa, and Ellen Robertson of Amelia Island, Florida; Brothers-in-laws Melvin and Nancy Ericson of Lenexa, Kansas, Curtis (deceased) and wife Kathy of Carroll, Iowa, Clayton and wife Sheryl of North Sioux City, Nebraska; two sister-in-laws, Marynelle and husband Sam Samuelson of Cumphrey, Minnesota and Stella Mohr of Carroll, Iowa and uncle Ervin Mohr and wife Wilma of Denison, Iowa.

Erwin Henry Listamann (1922 - 1992)
Erwin Henry Listamann was born Aug. 24, 1922, the son of Henry and Lillian Meggers Listamann. He died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1992 at the age of 69 years.Erwin was born on a farm in Hanover Township and was baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church on Oct. 3, 1922. He received his education in a rural school near his home and was confirmed at Zion on April 10, 1938, by Rev. C.W. Schmidt. After receiving his education, Erwin remained on the farm where he began his farming career working for his uncle, John Meggers in the early forties.
In 1948, Erwin farmed the Lafrentz farm with his brother, Walter, until Walter entered the service in 1952. Erwin remained on this farm until 1979 when he began farming the Leonard and Hilda Mahnke and the Harry Meggers farms and where he remained until the time of his death. He enjoyed rebuilding antique farm equipment with his brothers and especially enjoyed John Deere tractors and other farming equipment. He was meticulous in all that he did and farming was no exception. He cared about the land he had charge over and worked it to the best of his ability. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother in infancy. Survivors include three brothers, Walter and his wife, Cheryl of Denison; Delaine and his wife, Dorothy of Denison; Donald and his friend, Myra Keim; and one sister, Lorna Moeller and her husband, Gilbert of Denison.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 1992 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with the Pastor Kurt Kaiser officiating at the services, with burial in the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. Karen Kahl provided the organ accompaniment for Marge and Henry Henningsen, singing "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Congregational singing was "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Pallbearers were Larry Listamann, Lyle Listamann, Roger Harm, Edmund Petersen, Vernon Haase, and Craig Brodersen. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Walter A. Huebner and Sons' Funeral Home in Denison.
