Manilla, Crawford County, Iowa

The cemetery was walked and recorded by Norm Prince in August 2005. The data was typed and the cemetery re-walked to check for spelling and date errors. The grave stones where recorded beginning along the east drive and the rows where numbered from east to west; each row was read from north to south. Several stones were unreadable and with greatful help from Norbert Kasperbauer, the sextent of the cemetery, most of the missing information was located in the records.

Directions and Description: Mt Olivet Cemetery, Manilla, Iowa, sits on a hill east of town about one-half mile and is circled by a paved drive on the west, south and east perimeter of the cemetery with a gravel county road bordering the cemetery on the north. There is a large crucifix statue located on the eastern edge of the cemetery, which had just been cleaned and repainted earlier this year. There is also a small raised flower bed with a memorial bench located between the eastern drive and the fence.
