 According to the inscription on the back of this photo, this is a "Schoolhouse near Denison, Iowa. Dad taught here circa 1875." The "Dad" referred to was Josiah Linley Adams. He and Caroline Dorothea Blume were married by the Rev. Dinsmore Austin at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage July 2, 1882, according to the family records. |
