• Reared by Mr. & Mrs. Spain. Margaret was an Orphan Train Rider from the East Coast to Iowa. The family lore says she, and/or her family, came to America to escape the Potato Famine in Ireland.

• Margaret married Bernard LENTZ, in September of 1885 or 1886, in a Catholic Church, in Petersville/Quigley, Clinton Co. IA. Their first three children were baptized in that church also.

• Death certificate says her father was John Fay, born in Ireland. Cert. also says Margaret was born in New York City.
