"A" 140th Illinois Infantry. He was active with the GAR.
John Henry Dunmore married Sara Jane Miles. She was born about 1852 in Sterling
IL. Children were Laura Dunmore born Sterling IL also a son but I have no first
name for him.
John Henry Dunmore next married Catherine Butler on March 29 1877 in Winnebago
Co IL and moved to Little Traverse Mich. before 1880. Their children were James
Henry and Grace Dunmore
John Henry Dunmore’s third wife was LeEtte MacDonald. She was born April 1863 in
Schenectady County NY. They had a son Roy Dunmore born Clinton IA. and before
1900 moved to Hennipin IL.
About 1912 John Henry Dunmore lived with his daughter Laura Dunmore Fry in
Clinton IA.
