William Schulte

William Schulte, son of William and Katie (Strukoff) Schulte, natives of Germany, was born in GarnavilloTownship on July 24, 1854. He was reared and educated in Clayton County, and was married here on Feb. 16, 1882, to Amelia Palas, daughter of Fred and Amelia Palas, who are natives of Germany, and emigrated to the United States in 1857, locating in Farmersburg Township, their present home. Mr. Schulte owns a finely cultivated farm of 230 acres, on sections 2,3 and 10, this township, and is classed with the prominent farmers and breeders of fine stock of Clayton County. He votes the Democratic ticket, and in religious sentiment is a Catholic. His wife is a member of the Lutheran church.
