Benjamin Sackett, farmer, section 16, Garnavillo Township, was born in Litchfield County, Conn., in 1799, where he lived until 1855, when he came to Clayton County, and settled on his present farm. He was married to Thalia Moulton, who was born in Connecticut, in 1802. Mr. and Mrs. Sackett have had six children, all of whom are deceased; four of their children grew to maturity, viz,: Achsah, who married Samuel Carter; Henry, Sarah R., and Mary E.
