Edward C. Daum was born Oct. 7 , 1857, in Sperry Township. He is the son of Frederick Anna (Rottamar) Daum. He passed his early life in school till he was sixteen years of age, since which time he has worked on his father's farm. Mr. Daum is not married, and lives with his father. He is politically a Republican, and religiously he is a member of the Lutheran church. source: History of Clayton
