Virgil Scott, Osceola boy now living in Mendota, Ill. is the slender lad standing in front of "White's place" some 40 years ago. He is a brother of Joe Scott of Osceola and Mrs. Ray Fouche of Washington township. The store was a grocery owned by O. A. White and was located on the north side of the square.
