Kenneth Duane Curnes

Kenneth Duane Curnes, second son of John and Ira Curnes was born in Osceola, Iowa, April 5, 1924, and departed this life June 25, 1935, at the age of 11 years, 2 months and 20 days. He leaves to mourn his early departure his heartbroken father and mother; three sisters, Oralene M, Wanda M. and Patricia Lue; four brothres, Orval E., Robert E., David F., and Ronald L; his loving grandmother, Mrs. Anna Curnes; also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, and many, many friends both old and young.

"Kenney," as he was known among his little friends and teachers, was their "favorite." He was a firm believer in God and had expressed his desire to accept Jesus as his Savior, but God called and he answered saying, "Take Me Just As I Am."

Funeral services were conducted from the Church of Christ Thursday afternoon, June 27th with Rev. F. C. McCallon in charge. Interment made in the Maple Hill cemetery.
