LINEAGE CERTIFICATES

CCGS is issuing Pioneer certificates (here by 1856) and Settler certificates (here by 1885). They are beautiful mementos of our pioneer ancestors in Clarke County, printed on parchment-like paper and hand-lettered with your ancestor's name. The applications for the certificates include evidence of your ancestor's families, the time that they came to Clarke County and much other history. They are filed in the library to give other researchers hints about your ancestor. Perhaps you will find new cousins when someone finds your application.
