Levi H. Huffman

Levi H Huffman served in Co. H of the 4th Iowa Cavalry as a saddler.  He was from Chickasaw County, Iowa and was sworn in at Mt. Pleasant, IA.  After discharge, he returned to Chickasaw Co., IA and returned to farming.  Levi had 3 brothers who also answered their country's call.  

• Henry Huffman, born in 1833 in Greenfield, OH.  Died of illness at Andersonville, GA
• Alfred Huffman, killed in action
• Humphry Huffman, was in the fife and drum corps.  His drum is on display at the museum across from the little brown church in Nasuha, IA.
