To all whom it may concern:

              This is to Certify, That Harvey S. Curtis a Private of Captain H. A. Maxwells, Company "F", eighth Regiment of of States Vet. Volunteers who was enrolled on the 5th day of APRIL one thousand eight hundred and sixty five to serve One year or during the war, is hereby

Discharged from the service of the United States, this Fifth day of April 1866, at Washington D.C., by reason of Expiration of term of service. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)

 

Said H. S. Curtis was born in Napoli in the State of New York is 25 years of age 5 feet 7 inches high, light complexion, black eyes, brown hair, and by occupation, when enrolled a soldier.

 

Given at Washington D. C., this 5th day of April 1866

              This is to Certify, That Harvey S. Curtis a Private of Captain J. W. Bice, Company "A", 3d Regiment of Cavalry, Illinois Volunteers who was enrolled on the 14th day of August one thousand eight hundred and sixty one to serve three years or during the war, is hereby

Discharged from the service of the United States, this Fifth day of September 1864, at Springfield, Illinois, by reason of expiration of term of service. (no objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)

 

Said Harvey S. Curtis was born in Napoli in the State of New York is 21 years of age 5 feet 7 inches high, light complexion, hazel eyes, brown hair, and by occupation, when enrolled a teacher.

 

Given at Springfield, Ill., this fifth day of September 1864
