Two cemeteries - Old Cemetery and Elm Grove Cemetery
This was a crumbling newspaper clipping that also held the notice of a Memorial Service. A few names in the Elm Grove Cemetery may have crumbled away and are no longer available in this list. (Published 5-25-1910, probably in the Washington Democrat)
'The Memorial services for the old soldiers will be held at the Baptist church, Sunday afternoon May 29. Rev. D. I. Coon to preach the sermon. Services will be at 2:30. All old soldiers and the sons and daughters of soldiers are urged to meet at the G. A. R. hall and march to the church in a body. The old soldiers realize that the time will soon be at hand when these services must be in the hands of the sons and daughters of soldiers and there is no better time to begin than right now. The W. R. C. will join as usual and all the ministers of the city are invited to be present. All citizens are urged to attend. This is the request of the Old Soldiers. H. L. Kendall has asked this publication on their behalf. He is Post Commander.'
